Alhambra Municipal Golf Course
About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

Hole 6 green. So many trees that line the fairways at this course. Photo submitted by u018507495 on 06/24/2025

SWEET COURSE
First time playing course... best greens I've played going into winter.. will definitely be back
course in great shape
The entire course is in really great shape considering the recent heavy rains. The one element that does need improvement are the bunkers. While it is understandable the sand (that is there) is heavy from the rains, there is no reason there are a multitude of rocks in several of the bunkers. Also, seems the deepest parts of the bunkers are scarce of viable sand to swing through. But please get rid of the rocks!!...Clubs don't like em!
Rest of course is awesome!!
Not worth playing
Had 8:40 tee time there was a group of about twenty to twenty five players ahead. One player was left behind and joined a group behind us after we teed up he asked if he could join his buddies in front which became a fivesome course was already slow left after 11 holes will never go back
It was a good day of golf
joined a 3some of good guys for a pleasant round..
it was a day without wind, and I hit enough good shots to feel it was a good round.
Value for money
View on the mountains, no noise of motorways, Los Angeles weather … what more can you expect.
