Alhambra Municipal Golf Course
About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

Hole 6 green. So many trees that line the fairways at this course. Photo submitted by u018507495 on 06/24/2025

Golfer Reviews
There need’s to signage warning golfs to watch for golfers in The Valley on hole #14 and #17! We were hit on. On these two holes!!!
Not bad
It was my forth time to play golf here. Due to frequent rain these days, the condition of fairway was awful this time...I hope they make it better after rainy season is over.
First Time at Alhambra
This round was sandwich between days of rain and for that, no carts were allowed on the course. However, are threesome finished front and back nine in the two hour course standard even with us walking. Great course and value for the money. Will certainly come back again as it is less than 20 minutes from my home and it was a fun course to play. I am looking forward to playing there when it is not winter.
Love this fairly easy course
This fairly easy course is one that I recommend to all my friends. The layout is fun with some challenges that keep you on your toes. It usually plays pretty fast and is always green and in good condition.
Close to home.
Awesome place to enjoy. Only $15 for a caddy/spectator.

Ah, Alhambra
I've played here on a pretty regular basis for over 5 years now. The course is in its best condition in years. The new tee boxes are coming in nicely (although the 12th is still a bit slanted). Greens are as typical and don't break as much as they appear they should, but that is fairly easily overcome. I love the senior rate and play here most often because of it. The pins were in really difficult positions with most being on crests of undulations or within 6 feet of the edge of the green. I have never seen this before and it was a major talking point in the group I played in.
I'll definitely be back ")
