About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

Fun Course
Fun course. Played first time and greens had just been aerated. Fairways in great shape and greens will also be very good after recovering from aeration. Course is relatively short, but layout makes it fun and interesting. Would Defn play again and recommend to others..

No better public course.
I love playing Almansor. The course is always well maintained. Airating is always an inconvenience but that’s why the course greens are nice.

I Only Played 9 So...
…the easy walk I mentioned in the review only refers to the front nine. The back has a couple of definite elevation changes to deal with. Look, Alhambra is no Wilshire Country Club, but what it lacks in refinement, it more than makes up for in a fun layout, an exceptional price point and available tee times, as well as a three tiered driving range with trackman tech Tee boxes can be a bit funky, more people have to learn how to repair ball marks on the green, but all in all it’s still a quiet little neighborhood gem.

Alhambra is AWESOME!
Playing at Alhambra golf course brings a smile to my face. The course is wonderful, the staff is excellent, and the price is PERFECT! My son and I will be back next weekend again!

No golf management
The tee times were too close to each other. There were too many children on the course that were attempting to play and not skilled enough to play. I believe that children should have its own block and not allow seasoned golfers to have to wait behind them because they're running back and forth on the fairways and Greens not really playing the game properly. There was no Marshall to speed up the pace of play, that course could be a very beautiful place to play but the conditions were poor and there was no one to regulate the pace of play.

Nostalgic!
This was the first real course I ever played when I was 18, I’m 45 now and hadn’t played here in over 16 years. It was great to see Julius again, I had not seen him since I moved away from Alhambra, he started as a cart cleaner and now runs the place. The course was in great condition and I highly recommend it. It’s not a long course but it’s very challenging. I started with 3 birdies in a row and ended at 1 over 🤦🏻♂️
