Don't pay too much to golf here
Antelope Greens is an okay course. The greens and the fairways are good but the tee boxes are horrible. You will be hard pressed to find a level, grassy tee box at Antelope Greens. Most of them are sloped, bumpy, pot-holed, and lack grass. It would not take too much maintenance to bring them up to snuff and raise the overall rating conditions at this course.
Now to something positive. Antelope Greens is a good course for someone wanting to work on their short game. There are a lot of holes that are 150 yds or less. It is also easy enough for beginning golfers to play.
Practice your short game
This is great course to perfect your short game. Lots of challenges from excellent putting greens to target shots. The pace of play early is good later not so. Let your driver home and mare par with you other clubs.good course to walk
Father's Day
Golfing on Father's Day at Antelope Greens was good. There were a lot of father and son combinations and so my son & I got paired up with another father & son. It was a good round and we had fun.
Great Value - Good Fun
The course is in great shape. I played with a scratch golfer and a beginner. We all had fun. We played the course in less than 3 hours and I still found over 50 golf balls.
Great
The course is great to work on iron play and for beginners. One of the best bang for your buck courses in Sacramemto. The tee boxes need to be in better shape could be built up some but besides that, it's a great value.
Good little course
We wanted an easy, short course to warm up our golf games for bigger, longer courses. The landscaping was good - minimal or no brown spots, greens in good shape. The tee boxes had acceptable grass coverage but had to work to find a level spot to tee up in. Greens were in great shape but it took us a little while to realize the grass is different (bermuda?) and were unusually slow. Left a lot of putts short. Overall this is a great course to practice your irons play on.
Great practice for short irons game
Excellent range of yardage for short game practice from 70 yards to 300
Great for iron play
Excellent course to practice every iron in your bag. 4 holes for the driver. All around great little practice course. The pace can get very slow because a lot of the players are new to golf, ( I figure ). Greens are tough on some holes, pretty well maintained fairways and greens. 3 & 1/2 hours on a slow day 2 hours & 15 min. If no one there to slow 4 players down. Recommend it if your irons need work!
great for what it is
I play all the time at the better courses in Sacramento but on this day I had my beginner wife with me. This place is great for beginners and good short game work for the rest of us. Place was in good shape. Round is maybe 3 hours which is all my wife is good for
Nice little course
Played here for the first time on 04/14/14. Went out as a single. The group in front was a couple with a single that they happened to know. Behind was a pair of ladies. I was content to play by myself. Played the first hole alone and wasn't sure where the 2nd hole was located. After a few seconds of looking around I spotted the group in front on the tee. When I got there they asked if I'd like to join them. I accepted. My round was enjoyable. Pace of play was good but we did have to wait some but not bad. Greens were aerated recently so the greens were sandy and bumpy but overall course conditions were good. I enjoyed my round immensely.
Nice course
Great course for short game & also has 4 par 4's. Greens have been punched. & are very slow
A great course to play if you are short on time.
Good value and a great place to tune up your middle irons.
Shorter but fun course & always enjoyable
Always a nice experience. Finally new bag straps to prevent our bags from falling out. The only neg. the mgn. chg. $10.00 a cart per person, from $7.00 that we always pay.
Excellent golf course
Good golf course to practice, the prices was excellent using the golfnow. I only pay $9.99 18 holes and $7.00 for the golf cart. I wish other golf courses have this prices.
Love Antelope
Played Antelope Greens for over 15 years now and it is always a pleasure to be there.... staff is friendly and f
or this time of year the greens and fairways are in GREAT shape.... Work on leveling out those Tee boxes though folks....
great short course
this is now my home course, since it close to my house. every hole is challenging, a short 80 yard par 3, a island green, just four par 4 holes. I like the driving range ($3 for 40 balls), and you can hit off the ground (which I desperately needed to practice).
Fun, quick course to get a nice round of golf in.
I'm a college student so whenever I can play golf in between classes is an awesome time. For 10 bucks it cant be beaten too. Easy course to use the push cart on. Great deal for a decent course.
The greens were slower than used to ,but was challenging to ajust to.
The close par threes. on the first nine were challenging to nail that green for a bird. Friendly staff made my round pleasant. Hit the driving range before my round to adjust to the wind. A nice blocked off area , on the grass to practice on.
I enjoyed the overall layout and the spaciousness
my first time on this course, was paired up with a very nice fellow named ernie, who was able to make some bad shots seem like fun, thank-you ernie.
