Verrado Golf Club - Victory Course

Anytime I am in the Phoenix area I play Verrado ( this time the victory but generally both courses)

Started playing here about 10 years ago and come back every year even though it can be a longer ride than other courses closer to where I stay

Staff is always friendly

Pro shop at founders course is top notch

Courses always in good condition

Played four other courses and bunkers here clearly the best

Tee boxes very good

Fairways very good

Greens rolled true and at a good speed

Layout is challenging - more target golf at victory

Generally paired with Memebers and they all have been great

I work at a private club in the Midwest that has hosted us opens, Ryder cup, fed ex cup, and Verrado does a great job

Overall good conditions and service was as expected above par!

Does the course need some help? Yes is the simple answer - no sand in the traps and multitude of wet spots compared to others overly dry do take a bit away but overall a very fun track and was impressed with the greens being faster than a regular public course. The 17th could be redesigned along with above and this would rival the best. Be aware there’s house construction going on. Now some advice on where to hit would also certainly help and could be added to the scorecard. Last hole certainly made me want to come back!

Back nine was slow…had a drunk young group ahead of us. Advanced ahead of them at the turn as they were getting more drinks. Left them in our dust and never saw anyone until the 16th hole.

I brought the family out here for my Birthday and it was very nice. Some construction needs done and in about 2-3 years this place will look nice and free of heavy machinery. The holes themselves are very individual and each one has its own personality. You don’t see that a lot on Arizona courses. Overall 3.7

Due to rain day before it was cart path only. Very difficult.

Green speed was a bit slower than putting Green speed.

Over all, this course is a gem.

We really like Verrado Victory golf course.

We have played it 4 or 5 times since it opened.

Played the course on Feb 24. Course was in great shape. Everything was perfect except for the beverage cart on the back nine. Never saw one. Heard there was a special outing on the front nine so the girl that was supposed to be working the back 9 decided that was more important. Oh well still had a great round..

This is my favorite West Valley course. Always in great shape. 18 is one of the nicest golf holes around. Always have a great time playing at Victory.
