Great course
They raised there prices too high. But it’s a fun course to play. In great shape.
W@ould not recommend
we had played this course before and invited out of town guests to play this time. The front nine was like playing in a construction zone..loud, dirty &trails were torn up due to new home construction prep.
Then, the Marshall suggested we pick up or play a scramble as there was a hole in front of us (they were a twosome) despite the fact we played the front nine in 2 hours and five minutes.
We won't come back, or recommend this course to others.
Enjoyable Round
We had a foursome and all had a good time. I believe the back 9 to be the more challenging and to possess more character. The first 7 holes are nice but not as interesting as the rest. In addition, they are preparing the front nine for home construction so there is a lot of heavy equipment moving about. Conditions were good all the way around - greens rolled nicely, bunkers well maintained. There are a handful of terrific holes (8, 9, 13, 14 and 18) although you need to play 13 a time or two to appreciate it. The finishing hole is spectacular, as is the view from the Cliff House patio.
Great course, beautiful view, and can be challenging for a few holes. Great customer service and good options of food after the round.
Course has cnaged
Victory course was one of our favorites, but the ambience has been destroyed by endless construction noise. Unless you live in the West Valley, not worth the drive.
Beautiful views and great pace!
The pace of play is important to me and found that the Victory Club has the right person to make sure it was not a work day length of hours. Service on the course and at the bar was excellent. Those things aside the course is built for accuracy and it was great day for me. I’ll be back.
Hofer
course was in great shape but because of the pace of play was not able to finish
Verrado Victory - Great course
aside from the pace of play...4 hours and 35 minutes..this was a great course. I'd definitely play it again. I would hope the course would add a GPS or some information on the various holes because if a player doesn't use an app, they would never know where to hit the ball off the tee due ex. hole 13 is a blind tee shot.
Tee times
Between golf now and the course management they screwed up my tee times every time we tried to golf there. I have a GolfNow email reservation and I show up an hour before that reservation. 10 minutes after arriving they tell me I’m late for my tee time. No time to organize or warm up. So much for range time included in price! Can you say Seinfeld, they know how to take your reservation, and your money, they just don’t keep your reservation……
Difficult
Being told at the time of our checking in that it was cart-path-only was not good because my girlfriend has a bad ankle from several surgeries after an accident. A cart is the only way for her to golf. But being the our only chance for golf on our Phoenix trip we had only two options, cart-path-only or no golf. So we pressed on. This course should never be cart-path-only because the entire fairway on every hole is guarded by rock formations for the length of the hole making for a longer walk then playing without a cart and having several shots with the wrong club because of not being able to calculate the distance right from 150 yards away or not being prepared to never get back to the cart on some holes. By the 15th hole we were exhausted and the fun round we dragged our clubs on a plane to Phoenix for was more like work then a fun round of golf.
