Excellent greens
Greens perfect conditions, Tee box do need a little works.

Waited for 20 minutes after my tee time for a cart (they were all out), finally gave up and walked. Pace was so slow that at times there were 4 groups waiting to play a single hole. After 4 long hours I finally called it quits after getting through 14 holes... won’t be going back.

Stay away
Such a bad course. In terrible condition, slow play and fill in the blanks. If you’re in the East bay stick to San Ramon for golf.

Slow and unkept

Good course but not today.
The course was not in very good condition today. Many of the greens had recently been sanded and there was excess wet sand piled around many greens. The greens themselves were great but many fairways and areas around the greens were not. There were lots of areas that were muddy and soggy due to irrigation being repaired.
The irrigation repairs will help later on but today it was just making a mess of things. You could see that many areas were recently seeded and aerated. It should be in good shape once all these maintenance items are done.
The pace of play was very good. We finished in 4 1/2 hours! Looking forward to playing it again.

There used to be a golf course in this location!
I used to play Diable frequently but they've let it deteriorate to such a condition that most fairways are barren with the right side of the 4th hole is cracked earth like in a desert. I could go into detail but why? The city of Brentwood has let it's ONLY remaining golf course go back to the field from whence it came. First Shadow Lakes, then Roddy Ranch and DeerRidge. Is Brentwood next? I will not play any of the three nines until some drastic changes are made!!!

Course management is necessary
Sometimes when we play on this golf course, We touch all the balls on the fairway. And when the ball enters the bunker, take it out and hit it.

Tough courses
Tough course to play.. in some Andrea are so muddy..Driving range has been closed down due to the construction.. it was my big disappointment!!

Potential
I’ve played this course since it opened. Moved out of area and had the chance to play again. I guess it’s been through multiple owners all of which are South Koreans with no ties to the local community. Ponds are empty which is causing the local beautiful wildlife to go other places. The fairways are in bad bad shape. Greens were decent, no real complaints. The pace on the back 9 Hillside was snail pace. No Marshall keeping the pace of play up. If the potential could be restored to its past glory & beauty this place would be worth the $50... plays more at $25.

Work in progress
New ownership. The course is over watered and soggy. Fairways need a lot of work. Greens are real nice! Tee boxes in good condition. I would like to see how the renovations continue under the new ownership. as the course is over priced for its current condition.

Slow play
I went out as a single met the other three people at my tee time made a foursome,all courses are starting to get slow around here, but to see seven people in a group playing, I don't usually call , he tells me he's the only guy there and the cart boy, nothing he can do. With that on top of the condition of the course, I'll go elsewhere.
