DeBell Golf Club
About
DeBell Golf Club in Burbank offers an 18-hole Regulation Course and a nine-hole disc golf course. The Regulation Course has a tight layout with narrow fairways and a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Accuracy is the key to doing well on this golf course but it's not overly punishing. Its risk-reward holes will appeal to low and high handicappers alike. The front nine is fairly challenging but the back nine is where the golf course gets tough. Although DeBell Golf Club is short, only 5,608 yards from the back tees, the blind shots and winding doglegs make it seem much longer than it is. There isn't any water on the golf course but you'll hardly miss its presence with all the other hazards that lurk throughout.

Great views compliment the cheese bread
Second time playing here and just as fun the first time. The course is challenging with great views of Los Angeles, the staff was great and marshals were always around, and the 19th hole has excellent food.
Course greens
They are very patchy could be improved.
Fantastic course
We have play two times and it has been gorgeus
local course only
i like this local small course, near by and good for practicing my iron . you can keep your driver in bag in most hold. but course condition was little disappointed, hard sands in most bunkers, no one fix ball marks, tee boxes are ok, fairways are will keep.
ps. good now should tell us , the course recently seed the front 9 green.
Great skill building course.
The course is not only challenging but is on a beautiful layout. Keep serious and you can figure it out , drop your scores, and play better in general.
Need water
Course had some really bad wear spots.
Following the cart in front of us we endured lots of dust. Need to figure out the scatter points for the carts.
Drought conditions.
Just needs water.
Nice course for the money
We had a delicious breakfast before our tee time, the course is challenging but fun and in very good shape
Nice Tight course
I like this course, it has some tight fairways that keep your driver in the bag at times. Friendly staff, good conditions and fun course...
Will play it again
Challenging
Fairways need some attention , greens where good ,
Great Saturdsy
DeBell continues to care about having great greens. Everyone of the 18 holes was receptive to the correct shots, then fast and true for the putts. I can't think of any local Munis with this combination.
Go and enjoy the layout for what it is. Try and shoot your best and then realize the course is not as easy as you thought.
Fun Course
Fun course but a little narrow.
Good
Very fun course.
It's a nice place to play a round of golf.
The clubhouse is great too.
Great course
Nice and well maintained. Challenging
My favorite course in the LA area
I've played at least 6 or 7 different course in the LA area, and DeBell is - by far - my favorite course. I even drive about 45 minutes from home to play there fairly regularly. The course is shorter than your typical 18-hole course, but it's still pretty challenging given narrow fairways. It's also a beautiful course, placed at the foot of the Verdugo mountains. The price is right. The people are friendly, and you'll get some amazing views. I highly recommend it.
Great Setup
This course has a great setup to challenge new and accomplished players. It is short for the new golfer yet tight for the more experienced. You will work every part of your game during the round and see various shots that will only be played at DeBell.
Course conditions were down from previous play as the greens were bumpy and sandy. I surmise that they are just coming out of being punched. Normally the greens are in great condition.
The bunkers are as many Southern California courses. They are of inferior sand that has many rocks so if you do not want to gouge your irons just take an unplayable.
This is a great course to work on your came or just have a fun challenging day. The food and drink are up to par for most any course.
I am a big fan
I have been playing this course for over 15 years and it is always been my refuge after bad experiences... great place to be also for families
Slow pace
Our tee time was at 10:50 am and we didn't tee off until noon. The starter said that GN and the pro shop doubled booked that day. We stopped playing at 16th hole at 5:00 pm since the play of pace was really slow.
Hilly & Very Tight Course - Interesting Layout
It had been nearly 20 years since I last played De Bell golf course. The course has become even more challenging than it used to be. While the yardage is still very short (only about 5,600 yards from the back tees) this course provides a challenge for golfers of all skill levels. You can leave your driver in the bag for most holes. The sharp doglegs and narrow fairways make accuracy far more important than distance. And the small and severely sloped greens make precise approach shots and chips a must. For my 3rd shot on the par 4 forth hole I had about a 35 foot chip shot. My ball rolled to within 4 feet of the hole, and then turned sharply to the right and continued to roll all the way off the front of the green! That was the only hole with a green so severely sloped that it was really just unfair. (They need to take at least 4-5 degrees of slope out of the front of that green.) Overall, I really do like the layout. The course makes you think about every shot. I will play this course again. There are low scores to be had - if you play smart and stay in the fairways. The only big negative was the slow play. It was a 5 hour round. But unfortunately this is the "norm" in L.A. on a weekend.
