Rancho Carlsbad Golf Club

About
Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course is an executive layout that is one of the area's best values. It's not a terribly formidable course but it's great for getting in some short game practice. The course is gentle enough for beginners and juniors, making it a good place for families. Opened in 1959, Rancho Carlsbad has a classic layout that is shorter and tighter than most modern golf courses. You won't come across too much trouble on this layout. There are hardly any bunkers but their absence is accommodated for with convex greens that allow the ball to run down to the other edge if you're not careful. You will also have to tee off over a stream on a few holes. Accuracy is generously rewarded but the layout isn't too punishing if you're slightly errant.

Good good
Best golf course ever I have played. Good view and conditions.
Nice course!
Nice little par 3 course that was pretty well maintained. Longest hole was 140yds if I remember correctly.
$15 hot deal!
I really enjoyed myself at the Rancho Carlsbad pitch and putt. Most holes around 100 yards. Course in pretty good condition. Actually with all of the rain we’ve had in Southern California. Greens tiny but in good shape. They have a $120 a month membership fee for all the golf you can play which I may take them up on. Overall I enjoyed my three hour 18 hole Golf today!
Fun Course!
Fun little course with some challenging holes and greens. Great place to work in the short game and short irons! Easy to walk as well. Played 18 at 8:15 on a Saturday morning and was done before 10:45!
pitch and putt
just moved into the area and want to try all the courses in a 20-mile radius. And yes only a 9-iron with and course not marked very well.
But for kids and families... it's perfect!
Great Beer Course
Every city needs a cheap par 3, and for north county SD, this is it. My wife and I played here on a Saturday around 10:30am and it took us a little over 2 hours to finish 18. We got stuck behind a few groups of people wanting to just fool around, which is expected at a par 3 on a Saturday. The price point is a tad high in my opinion, but Golf in general is stupid expensive right now.
Definition of a par 3 course
Definitely know before going it is a short par 3 course, with only a handful of holes over 100 yards. Definitely good for beginners just starting to get the hang of things
Very small course, most of the holes are par 3 holes with less than 90 yards
Mislead from the pictures displayed on Golf Now, this is a course for the first time golf players or for kids
Cow Pasture
Move on! Very poor condition and kids foot soccer was on the course while I started playing.
Fun but
Like the ability to just play on my own, course was almost empty. Front nine is in pretty poor condition, barely looks like a course honestly. Also do not love that the driving range balls were raining down on me.
The back nine is much nicer, better, layout, better greens. Overall a great place to practice your short game. Oh and try the street tacos , they are delicious.
Fun PAR 3!
This is a family friendly PAR 3 with a few challenging holes over a canal. Staff is friendly and the pro shop has everything you need if you forget something.
