Bayou Oaks City Park South Course

Non-resident green fees are pretty high but golf now had a Hot Deal for same day play for $70 so I gave it a go. Greens were beautiful and the fairways were very nice although a little tight in some spots, but very playable. Weather was perfect and I got out as a single and was paired up with another single. We played unrushed and only waited on a handful of shots. 4 hour round. Will try to get back out there again before I leave if I don't have to pay the non-resident rate.

Greens were nice and fast right after it stormed the day before. Some greens have some bad spots. But I would compare the course to a English Turn and Lakewood. Wouldn't say it's $130 course.

They can not let this course go downhill like the North. It was in TERRIBLE condition for the $70+ we paid AT TWILIGHT. I feel bad for the out of towners who come in and expected this to be nice. I can even imagine what the dog track North course looks like. Seriously, you can not charge this much and have the greens be half fungus, half mud. Looked like the course hadn’t been watered in weeks, and that’s with the rain we had. They really need to get it together, it’s not helpful that the staff seems to turn over a lot and they generally aren’t very friendly.

One of our carts were not calibrated right and it got stuck on the car path, it said out of bound. We called and told them. Over the phone one of staffs were very rude and yelled at me. He hanged up the phone. I have excellent experience until this event. My god , the man was very angry man.

Generally, the rule of golf is let faster players play thru. This was not the case. The twosome in front of me were slow and hitting 2 balls off the tee box. The marshal passed by several times and saw me wailing each time and did not address the issue.

I loved the course. Loved all the nature. It was pretty wet, but that is not the courses fault. Liked the layout. I certainly would come again.

Course was in good condition for time of year. Staff was friendly. Pace of play was a little slow . Cart girl out of first 2 preferred beverages, but overall i had a good day.
