About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Slow
Groups behind us were rushing us when everyone in front of us were playing slow. 9 holes in 3 hours. For the money it was not worth it.

Stink Smell
Hole 17 has really bad smell from pond or bathroom. I couldn't breath.

Never Coming Bsck To this Course
1. No range balls were available. Apparently machine for we broke. Got there 2 hours before t time and still nothing
2. Bathroom by starter was a DUMP , floor wet and slippery almoet fell. Odor makes you sick.
3. Staff not friendly at all

Beautiful day for golf
The reasent rains has made the course very nice to play and in good condition...like the improvements made...especially the beautiful Clock. Only negative comment would be on the condition of the bathrooms(needs someone to use some elbow grease on the stained, dirty urnals and toilets)...enjoyed the day

That can happen anywhere. I’ve had it pretty good there to be fair.
If I were to criticize? They need a marshal and I’ve never seen one there or at most courses.
And yeah, I’m 73 and can walk courses fast than some in carts.
