About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Good course for the price
Course is a bit old, but still kept up well. Great play for the price
GOOD LAYOUT AT REASONABLE PRICE
The Butterfield Stage course is moderately challenging which does require accuracy to score well but has a lot of areas for missed shots. the greens were great, range satisfactory, staff great and course conditions hit and miss with some bare spots and iffy bunker lies. No GPS in carts which are old but good value for the money.

Good Value Course
Spent an enjoyable round with my son. Course conditions were fair and a good value for the price. Pace of play good and will definitely be back.
Good course
Overall this was a good open wide course- very forgiving and the greens were big and fast - some random mounds of dirt that was weird. Staff was friendly and the carts worked great.
