About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Nice layout but please fix the mens restroom.
I really like this course especially for the price and ability to get tee times. Not the greatest fairways but greens are in good condition. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Fix the mens restrooms. Urinals and plumbing always backed up or overflowing. Smells like a cesspool and floor stays covered with urine. This is not a one time problem. This has been going on for nearly a year.
Beautiful course well maintained love the ups and downs, and the water would definitely play again their

The course is in good shape. It was a little slow yesterday but I always enjoy playing there.
Very nice course!
Played on 5/10/24 (Friday) started at 10:07am and ended at 3:30pm. Pace of play was fairly slow at they were already backed up since hole one. Course is in pretty good condition. Fairways roll decent and layout is challenging for your first time. Will def play again

The city needs to put some money into this really nice layout. Course could rate 5 stars with some updating and a parking lot that has looked the same for 30 years. Staff was friendly. Could use some better signage. Round was 5 hours but a lot of places to lose balls!
Same old Prado …. Unfortunately
I haven’t played El Prado (Chino Creek) in 6 years. I’d heard there is new ownership, so we tried it again. The group in front of us made up a five some on the first hole. We then had to wait on every shot. When we told the pro shop, they just shrugged and said nobody listens to them anyway. I saw carts ON tee boxes, guys spraying the ball , which hit a guy in our foursome ( no 4 or warning), also had guy grab my ball from fairway…( I put red dots on my ball, he took from his pocket and gave it back to me )… won’t be back. Good luck to the new owners, they’ll need it.
