El Prado Golf Courses - Chino Creek
About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Fun course to play IF pace and condition were better...
I played before so invited friends to play here but the condition of the course was not that good and the pace were poor.
Hope the course management pays more attention to the pace and mantainance of the course for a great day of golf at El Prado
Terrible condition
Play both courses and they are in poor condition, fairways are absolutely in terrible shape, there’s no grass your playing off dirt everywhere. Creek course a nice layout, with high elevation holes and water areas for challenging shots. The traps are okay, the greens are in rough shape it’s a public course that’s beat up all around.

Pace of Play
First time playing this course. It took us 5 1/2 hours to play our round. We tee off at 1100 am and the first tee was backed up for almost 15 minutes. No marshals out on the course, I noticed there was six players playing together which was causing the delay. The weather was hot, but we only saw the drink cart once!

Return to Chino creek
It has been awhile since I've been out to Chino to play but I was pleased with the trip to Chino creek. I played Butterfield stage course and I throughly enjoyed it. The greens were very nice and the tee boxes were very flat. I will return to play again.
A very hot day and considering our 3 year drought the course is in pretty good condition...
No idea what happened to this course
The course condition is the worst it's ever been. The fairways are mostly dirt patches. One of the worst golf courses I've ever played.
