About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Put me with Really Slow Players
The starter put me in a threesome with 3 persons Also who was a 20 handicap and another person who was a 30 handicap and it was not at all enjoyable. Please ask the players at least a preliminary question as to do they know how to play before you put a good player with some really slow players. I quit after 9 because it was not fun. Just let me play alone or with a single digit handicapper.
Just OK
Staff is awesome, but the course is just ok.. Pace of play was awful considering almost every group I saw ahead of me was a twosome. 5 hours to play as a single and mostly twosomes in front of me as far as I could see. MOST of them seemed to have NO concept of how to keep on pace. They parked their carts 50 feet to 150 feet in front of greens THEN they went to chip and or putt to finish the hole with their carts still parked in front of the green! SO, they had to pick up their ball then walk back toward me then drive to next hole! COMMON SENSE would tell you that that is a horrible waste of EVERYBODY'S time.
Greens are very good. Traps are OK but MANY of the fairways SUCK!
This is NOT a bad course but there are many in this price range that are better.

Wouldn't go back.
Course was in very poor condition. Cart's were new and very nice. Barely saw a cart girl once on a very hot day. Of course needs some serious money dumped into it. I would say for the price.It was reasonable but I can't even say that considering the overall condition. It's like playing golf in a cow pasture. The best part about it was probably the greens that I would give maybe a 6 out of 10.. Certainly wouldn't recommend this course to a friend.

Okay but better in the area
The course is OK if you just wanna go out and hit the ball around, but the overall condition of the course was average at best with all the courses in the area I probably would not play it again

Good Value
Escape to Chino for some quiet course time. First time here. Tee boxes are in good shape. Several holes are under power lines and you can definitely "hear" the electricity. You can feel your hair rising. Was pretty windy here. Good times and pace..

Course in nice shape.
The course is in good shape. There are some brown patches on the fairways- but we have been in a long heat wave. The bunkers have finally formed up a bit and play nicely now. Greens were rolling true.
Nice course
The golf course was very nice for the price. Lots of trees to rest under from the heat to provide shade while you wait for the next hole to play.
I did not expect all the flies the area.
