Browns Mill Golf Course

Understanding this is city owned is important course for this time of year looks AMAZING, and greens are rolling true, fairways are green and the rough is cut down.

Only issues are they are low on carts (they do not do a good job of pairing people up) so a group of 4 singles will have 4 carts for same round. Also no starter or even a ranger to check people in at 1st tee so lots of people waiting / had 4 groups at the tee at my tee time, come to find out they where late for theirs and or getting on early yet all went ahead of me :/. didn’t get on for another 20 minutes/ started round at 3:42 on a 3:20 start time. didn’t get to finish due to how slow people where playing 15/20 minutes a hole. Carts in by 7/ took me 3.5 hours to play 11 holes.

Truly they course is in good shape top to bottom. Great job

By re-doing the cart paths. And the fairways are good and greens are well kept. I might get a membership…

The course is in very good shape.. The Greens are rolling nice. Fairways are cut and no weeds. Bunkers have plenty of sand in them. I suggest you ovoid them. They will test your bunker game. Tee boxes are in good shape. Overall I think you will enjoy your 18 at Brownsmill

Amazing for the price great conditions and greens

I was pleasantly surprised by this course. It was in good shape, though the bunkers were not raked (by other players). Nice layout with a good variety of holes, but a few are a bit long. Will play again.

The city of Atlanta recently invested in this course and it has made a big difference. From tee box to greens the course has been greatly upgraded. Tee boxes have been leveled off, some trees have been cut back or cut down. Sand traps have been replenished, cart paths were replaced and widened. Under brush has been cleared, fair ways and green are green and groomed. The rest room between holes # 4 &.5 was rebuilt, landscaping was done and the parking lot was redone. The green fees have gone up, but considering the improvements, the rate increase is fair. If you haven’t been to Browns Mills lately you will be pleasantly surprised. Job well done. A BEAUTIFUL course for the value. I had no issue with the course itself. My issue stem from the young lady checking everyone in. She was RUDE had an attitude towards everyone. She definitely shouldn't be interacting with customers. The course had a tournament that ran all day. Tee times were backed up due to cart shortages. People paid for carts but had to walk due to cart shortages. The lady at the front showed no empathy AT ALL. People work hard for their money and golf isn't a cheap sport. Staff members can at least show good cutomer service without attitudes. ESPECIALLY, when the course is at fault for over booking or not having enough equipment. I really like the course and hope things change. I would like to go back, but I won't if the customer service doesn't improve.

Booked a 12:54 Tee Time, checked-in, and then told "someone called to say that you can't use your personal cart on this course. I asked who said that and was told "just someone". I then asked to speak to someone in charge. The course manager Andre came 10 mins later. I explained that I've used my cycleboard golf cart on all other city, public, and private courses and have had no issue. He said that I can't use a personal cart. I then asked to see something in writing stating this and was told there is nothing in writing. Highly disappointed in how this was handle and the customer service. Not understanding and very short in tone. The explanation is not valid nor is there anything in writing stating his explanation. This cart is showcased at PGA tournaments and golf publications around the world. Definitely not going back to this course

Pace of play was fast, greens were fast, tee boxes in shape.

It has been 6-7 years since ive played this course. I took three clients out for a quick 9 hole round to catch up. This course has made a major upgrade and I will start to play it more than my home course of Chastain now. Will be playing again soon.

The fairways could maybe be cut a little shorter but overall great condition and the greens were consistent and had a good speed. The course layout is really fun. There are a lot of very different holes with some very long ones and a few short ones to make it exciting. I would recommend this course to anyone.

First of all, the course was in amazing condition; the best I’ve ever seen it. The fairways and greens were unbelievable. The course was worth twice the cost we paid.

However, more importantly, the personnel was absolutely the best I’ve ever seen. One of our players had an allergic reaction to something and unbeknownst to us, went into the beginning of anaphylactic shock. The employees insisted on calling 911, and quite possibly, saved his life. This is not hyperbole. They were wonderful. Not only did they call 911, but they stayed by our side every minute until the ambulance drove off. Thank you Browns Mill. No course would have done as much as you did. Bravo!!!

Early tee time available which was nice. Greens were like cottage cheese. Couldn’t trust a roll. Over a very mid course.

The day we played guys were arriving and jumping in front of groups to the back 9 cause they didn't want to wait but it backed up play. There was another foursome in front of us who were terribly slow. They were nearly 2 holes behind the group in front of them. The same slow group was obviously playing from the wrong tees and lining up shots as if pros but they were clearly hackers.

This all was creating lots of frustration for other golfers. All of this could've been rectified by the presence of marshals, who apparently called it a day after supporting a tournament held that morning.

I suggest better staff scheduling of marshals to help the experience for all.
