Course in good conditions but pace of play was brutal
Came out here on Sunday at 1. I showed up 15 minutes I was supposed to tee off and had to wait 30 minutes to start because they were out of carts. The front 9 pace was a little bit slow, but the back 9 was just brutally slow (or maybe it just felt that way because it got so incredibly hot). That being said the course is in great condition, there’s sand in the bunkers and the pins are brutally unforgiving in a good way. It was my first time out and I had a good time
Play It!
Course is in amazing shape! Best around, especially for a city course. I only lowered my ratings because since it is a city course, COVID has not allowed for driving range and restrooms, and am hoping sand traps will get sand once rakes can be utilized again. I definitely recommend. My son even said Bridge Mill and a few other courses need to take note.
Closed range
Having the range closed at a course is very disappointing. It’s important for warm up and for working on your game. It will influence my decision to were I play in the future.
This course is very wet after a rain shower. It does not strain well too many water puddles
Wide Fairways, slow greens!
The course overall was in very good shape. Tee box #2 needs flattening. Bunkers need sand. Greens are slower as hotter conditions kick in. Fairways are in good shape. The price in my opinion is $10 too much, but the wider fairways and flatter lies is enjoyable as it gives recreation golfers a chance to score better!
The staff are always very friendly!
Browns Mill is a great course
I have enjoyed playing this course. Just know this is on course golf only. There are no amenities or driving range available. I use golfnow to make tee times. I play during the week and could get out first on weekdays finishing 18 holes without rushing in 2:30 minutes in a cart. I will walk next time as I play better when I walk.
Great Public Course
Can’t expect better for the price within Atlanta city limits.
