Golfer Reviews
Course Management and Operations
I have played this course numerous times and consider myself a loyal patron of the Atlanta American Golf Associations courses: Brownsmill, North Fulton, Bobby Jones, John. A White and Alfred Tupp Holmes.
I have consistently let things like Starters not doing their job and general lack of attention to customers and their experience. This is the last time I will play any of the aforementioned courses.
Brownsmill starter allowed five 2somes to go off in a row. Later we found out that the same starter allowed a fivesome to go off as well.
At the turn, I went into the "clubhouse" and respectfully asked for a raincheck given the reasons just described and the fact that pace of play was dictated by the starter and not the golfers.
I was told that they had changed their raincheck policy and there was nothing they could do.
Two days later, I played North Fulton golf course. Our tee time was for 3:15pm and we were told that they were running just a bit behind schedule. We actually teed off at 4:45pm.
Because starters do not ever do their job at these courses and they seemingly don't care, I will choose not to play these courses anymore. Sad because I live in the City and would love to give my money to local courses.
Nice course. Not too difficult. Not too easy.
Nice course. Open fairways inspire confidence. Will reward you if you are on but wont beat you up too bad if you're not.10
Very forgiving.
Nice city course. Wide fairways for a lot of forgiveness. Greens well maintained for easy 2-putts all day long.
First time out, good city option
First time to this course yesterday afternoon, good condition, well maintained, relatively open, good geography. I'm a new golfer this year and was able to really enjoy my afternoon. Clubhouse is being redone (looks like it needed it) so that's a bit torn up right now but it works. Overall a good value for in town golf play.
Good value for the money
Rough day had to wait for carts to be cleaned up so we had to start later than planned. Tournament had just finished up. After we did get out we had the place to ourselves for the most part. Only got in 11 holes before the rain came. The deal we got made it ok that we did finish the entire 18
Compared to other Atlanta city courses, It's the best.
It's a very forgiving course. If your a beginner (like me), you wont loose a lot of balls. And the maintenance crew does a good job.
Great Fairways for city course
Nice plush fairways..good compress the ball well. Other golfers have no etiquette to let faster players through
