Desert Dunes Golf Course

Always windy & very bad maintained many dry spots. Nice course at one time needs a lot of TLC

The wind was strong later in my round and the greens were a little brown but to be expected with the hot weather. Some bunkers had standing water and were hard. Overall conditions were just ok, not great. Staff was very friendly with a greeting before and after my round. The price was good though and that made up for the average condition.

This is the 2nd time I’ve played here on Father’s Day. It was windy, but the layout is awesome. The course is difficult, but totally fair. I got destroyed, but I’d come back in a heartbeat.

Left my house in Palm Desert where conditions were nice. I luve at a Country Club so the shame of it was getting to Desert Dunes where the wind was steady at 50 miles per hour. This also made it really blustery even if you were crazy enough to want to beat yourself up in those conditions. I may as well have stayed home and played but instead I lost whatever I paid for the tee time. Regardless not playing here was the best deal I ever paid not to play a course.

A ton of wind affects the round you’ll play here however the layout and scenery are second to none in the valley at their price point. Not a home site so it is secluded and quiet but the wind does it tough to play a tight round.

This course isn't a bad course but the bunkers and fairways could use some help. The greens are in decent shape. It's a challenging course and I lost a couple of balls but I did play when it was really windy.

Our golf cart also started dying on hole 16. We made it through hole 18 but didn't make it all the way back to the cart return. The cart was dirty and the plexy and ice chest were broken.

I played this course on a hot deal which may happen again but I wouldn't pay any more than what the hot deals go for.

Needs some attention, mowing ect the day might have been very nice.

Helpful staff, good pace of play. Course maintenance was ok but left a bit to be desired, particularly on the front 9 which had a “cow pasture” feel to the fairways.

Back nine saw improved conditions and a nicer layout in general. Definitely not a high end track but still enjoyable for the price.

The course is challenging, very fun and good condition. They have ice water every few holes which helps a lot. Signage is good. Be ready to lose some balls if you don’t hit straight. The breeze made it cool enough not to sweat. We played 4/30 a 9:00 am tee off. Out of there by 1:30 pm. Cart comes with small ice chest full of ice.

The place is a dump. Maintenance is horrible. they could not make the rate cheap enough.

This course doesn’t have a staff of efficient size to provide amenities, but Robert Trent Jr. made a great golf course for those who like to be challenged.

We have played this course numerous times. This is the worst we have seen it. The rough was way too high and the fairways were like hitting out of the rough. Not sure what the issue is.

Course was decent, but they had just aerated the greens. Overall quality of turf was just okay. Didn’t get offered a refund or credit due to aeration because I had prepaid. If I had just showed up would have been $20 less each. Also drinks were incredibly overpriced compared to other courses we played.

Too bad it has the wind but that makes it a challenge and play to the conditions

Course could use some better weed control. Bunkers are inconsistent. Greens weren’t too bad. We had to wait a little but still made it around in about 4 hours. Staff were helpful and friendly.
