Desert Dunes Golf Course

I rated average as it has been neglected for years. In its heyday I can believe it was top notch. Good, fun layout & challenging. Greens are difficult but fair. They were in poor condition, however, which is its biggest black eye.

A tough day to play, but lots of golfers and still a lot of fun. The beverage cart girl was especially helpful and pleasant.

The course is in good shape. Some of the greens are uneven and bumpy. Tee boxes were in reasonable shape.

The wind is ridiculous! Blows the ball off the green and tee.

Well it's a shame because I really enjoyed the layout I loved the desert environment the course is in. But the greens were very disappointing due to the invasive poana I believe incredibly uneven and bumpy so to try to score it's going to be real difficult unless your positioning yourself close to the pin.

Both times I played my cart died before I even got to the clubhouse had to be pushed in both rounds.

First round they didn't even have a cart available until 5 minutes after my tee time so not sure what's going on with the logistics of running the course or their equipment but this course could be so much better.

Front desk staff was very friendly.

I played this course years ago and while it was windy the condition of the the course at that time was far better than what I experienced yesterday! Poor fairways, hard packed with water and mud in the sand traps and greens that while putting the ball would bounce!

Our tee time was 7:04 am but we’re able to tee off at 6:50 am. We were finished at 10:45 am and never waited once. The weather was awesome and the course was in very good condition. We will definitely be back. We find the early tee times are great.

First round of my year I’m down for a couple weeks wanted to try something cheaper to loosen up there was a deal on for this course and I hopped on it. I arrived and they said a half hour frost delay. The starter moved into second group out as I was a single. Played with 3 great guys had fun. Course is a great layout. I mean great much different than most local courses lots of up and down well garden greens. That aside it’s in meh condition. Potential is sky high for this place. Just spend a few bucks on maintenance.

This R.T. Jones, Jr. design is one of the best layouts in the Coachella Valley. With a bit more TLC to the greens and fairways, it would be a top draw in the Valley. It still comes highly recommended by me.

It took 3 hours to play nine holes so we snuck back and played the first nine and then we played that nine in an hour and 10 minutes so we at least got 18 in if we would have stayed and played the back nine after the front we would have only played 15 holes The course itself is a very nice course but the delays were insane our tee time was 12:30 we didn't get a cart until 12:30 so we couldn't drive to the practice range to practice even because they have no carts available how do you not have enough carts for the tee time selected????

Played this course many times. Very sorry to see that the greenskeeper has apparently left and no one is paying attention. Fairways are spotty. Bunkers and traps have NO sand. Greens are the worst - spotty and bumpy with weed growing. Very disappointing. Won't be bask.

This course is in terrible condition. The fairways are weed beds and the greens shouldn’t be called greens. What a huge disappointment and waste of money. I will never go back.

Love the layout, condition is pretty rough, but playable. Wind pretty fierce compared to courses in the valley. Based on what other courses are charging, price is reasonable.
