About
Desert Dunes Golf Course has a unique layout that combines a traditional links design with true desert-style golf. The course winds through natural sand dunes that are accented with mature trees and an abundance of native vegetation. It offers one of the most challenging rounds in the valley with narrow fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and fast, sloped greens. Collection areas and strategically placed bunkers border the greens. The most interesting of these bunkers can be found on the ninth and 18th holes where it sits in the center of the signature double green. There are also water hazards that come into play on several holes. In addition to the challenging round, the golf course offers scenic views of the surrounding mountains as well as the opportunity to play amongst wildlife including rabbits, roadrunners, bobcats, and even the occasional desert kit fox.

Worst Experience Ever
A total waste of time. Worst course I’ve played in the 37 years I’ve been coming here. Would never recommend this course to anyone
Don't Do It
Place looks abandoned ... there is very little care taking place to the coarse and all surrounding property.
This coarse needs to close, rather than operate while not being in a position to maintain what was once a really nice and challenging coarse.
Palm Spring Trip
The course was nice but rough was deep. I like how the green were step up. The first 9 holes were great but the last 9 were really bad due to the high winds around 40 miles plus. It was no fun trying to figure out distance due to the high winds. Driving and hitting irons were hard. The view is beautiful but wind took all the fun out of it.
Palm Spring gokf
The course layout was nice but the huge problem was the wind! The last 9 hole was not fun due the 40 mile hour winds. Our ball was blowing from one side of the green to the other side. You had to club up to reach the green. To much work to play that way.
Day on the Course
This is a great deal for a round of golf. The greens are in perfect shape. The grass on the fairways is a little long. The rough is challenging. Playable for all levels.
Great course
Love playing out here. Away from the city, lots of wildlife and natural foliage. Challenging at times. Some of the greens weren’t in great shape but still a fun day.
Don’t waste your money on this course!
We were extremely disappointed at the condition of Desert Dunes. Who knows when the grass was last cut! The greens were atrocious with poa and weeds everywhere. The vista views are so beautiful but the owners have let the course deteriorate. Save your money and golf somewhere else.

Great value
Long course. Very pretty desertscape. Layout is great with holes being quite different from each other. Those who play don’t mind a challenge and a bit of a wind and play at a good pace.
Course needs help
The design is good but the course needs money it looks like bunkers not raked sand is rock hard fairs ways need to be watered looks like they don’t care much about the course it could be great but I think it’s a money problem greens are so so two types of grass on there course needs a fair bit of attention
