Good Shape, Fair Course
Very fair course, what you see is what you get. Really good condition overall. A good mix of challenging/easy holes. Greens were in nice shape, rolled true. Had I not gotten a “Hot Deals” rate i’m not sure it’s worth its price tag but it’s definitely come a long way since I played it 20 years ago.
6 Hour Round
The course was way overbooked. Took 4 hours to finish 11 holes and ran out of time and then had to leave for the airport. Didn’t see the Marshall enforcing pace of play until the turn where he bragged about how many reservations they had booked and looked at us like we should have expected a 3 hr front 9. Just unreal when you’re paying almost $100 for the round
How can you get so many things right and still mess up a course so bad.
The course is in amazing shape. However it seems they are just grabbing at a thousand dollars here and there by over booking and stacking tee times on top of each other. We teed off 35 min late and then waited about 10 min each tee box. About a 6 hour round. Just leave more space in between times and don’t just try and sell as many rounds as humanly possible in a day that was ridiculous.
Great Day
A perfect day at Eastlake made all the better by playing Nick, the director of Operations at the course
Poor management.
Slowest pace of play you will ever experience on a golf course.
Great round. Great conditions.
The course was in great condition, and if could only read the greens my 82 would've been a lot better. I finished in less than 4 hrs. Friendly staff and just a great day away from work.
Not worth the price
Charging over $100 a round for this golf course is a money grab. There is absolutely no excuse for the pace of play. 3 groups backed up on one hole, causing a 6 hour round is atrocious.
Greens roll true, that’s about the only positive note from my experience.
Take your money elsewhere.
A great day
Course was in great shape because of all e rain we have had
Great experience
I really enjoyed this course and would love to return just to play “the toughest par 3 in the County”….Ithink it’s #14.
Good course in South SD
Eastlake is one of my favorite courses for the Southern part of San Diego. The course is well taken care of, greens are challenging, and they have good amenities like a good driving range, GPS on the cart, and restaurant. The only complaint I have was the pace of play. It was very very slow, at times we had to wait 2 groups at the tee box. I did play at 1pm on a Sunday, BUT still, it's always like this here. For a not so cheap course, you would expect more. I know it gets backed up everywhere if you play after 12pm, but at Eastlake they don't seem to do anything about it. Other than that, it's a great place to play. Book a morning slot so you can finish 18.
Slowest round of golf
Play here if you wanna play a 6 hour round of golf. They overbook this place like crazy. They don’t care about your experience, they just want the money. The Marshall tried to justify why it’s so busy is because of slow players, well when you overbook and have slow groups, then the pace of play with suffer. This is my last time playing here ever again. I would rather hit the range than play here.
