Great course!
I’ve been playing Eastlake/Enagic for quite some time now. So far the conditions have always been better than the average golf course. I’ve never had any complaints on their course conditions. We’re in SoCal so of course you’ll get your occasional dry and beat up spots but overall Enagic is looking pretty nice, especially right now. Green fees are high and sometimes worth it, but I stick to their twilights or hot deals on GN.
Good course for the money
This is a great course for the money. You won’t find nicer greens for the price. Fairways were in decent shape. Pace of play was excellent. Played 18 holes on a Saturday morning in 4 hours, playing from the black tees.
Great experience!
Excellent greens and fairways, the course was lovely to play and a wonderful surprise!
good condition
we played 6 months ago, the course was OK, many bare spots and the greens were bumpy and slow. we play again yesterday and were pleasantly surprised that the course was in good condition and the greens were very nice and fast. we shall be back to play again.
Magnificent
The course was in beautiful condition. Tee boxes were lush, fairways manicured and the greens rolled true. It was wet in the morning so greens were a little slower but as they dried out probably rolled at about a 10 on the Stimp meter. The course winds through a suburban neighborhood and has an excellent choice of different difficulty holes. There is a slight links style to the course and it winds up and down hill as it meanders through the neighborhood. I would highly recommend this course for the price.
Difficult Staff
I played on a slow weekday. My issue is with the staff. I played as a single and requested my own cart. Almost every other course in San Diego has accommodated me on a weekday by giving me my own cart when the course isn't busy. Enagic was just down right rude when I asked. The course was clearly far from being full and there were dozens of empty carts. Nonetheless, they made me share a cart and seemed offended that I would even dare to request my own cart. I do understand that on weekends it is simply impossible to offer a single player their own cart, but on a dead weekday...why not? My other issue is this course is quite expensive considering the course's location and the level of maintenance.
Great course, great weather, nice day!
We chose a course away from downtown San Diego to avoid possible weather issues and on course "traffic" congestion.
We really liked the course and the overall setting for the day.
The play was still slow (just over 5 hours). The range had mats only, and was full. Overall I'd say we had a good day of golf, and that the price might be a bit stiff (at least for us coming from Utah).
Nicest course in Southbay
Based in the price point, I don’t play here often. That being said, it’s very nice. It does have some ball eating long grass. If you happen to play the sides vs the fairway, you’ll be in for a challenge. Beautiful carts with gps and Bluetooth speaker make it a nice touch. As far as bathrooms go, they are top notch for Southbay. Definitely on my list of preferred courses.
