Do they have a grounds crew? Bad pace and HORRIBLE conditions

The karts are in pretty crappy shape and the restrictions they have are very annoying.

East lake has always been one of my favorite courses in SD but the course never manages to stay in good shape for a long period of time. The greens are nice ish but also banged up. The bunkers need so much attention. The weekend prices are unacceptable. Love you east lake but get it together.

The guys in the Pro Shop were super friendly! I would go back just to chat with them. :) Course is trying to bounce back from super hot weather we have had the last 2 weeks. Rough was long and challenging!

I appreciate that they are investing in the course, expanding greens, adding and improving the bunkers, making the course longer and always maintaining the practice area. However the driving range is not good for practicing your driver. They shout that tees go in the mat but they clearly do not if they have to keep reminding people that they “do”. The fairways have a ton of dry areas that you end up hitting off of dirt while a spot right next to it will be muddy. Some of the tee boxes are not flat or level. Crab grass and weeds all throughout the course. I know that it’s hard to tame and maintain but it does make the course harder to play. I have been playing Eastlake/Enagic for years, it is my home course, I have always enjoyed the layout and will be playing here for as long as I can play golf. Really hope it keeps improving.

The layout of the course was good and at times challenging. Most of all the fairways were ropes off so the grass could grow. The greens where in really good conditions on some holes there Were patch jobs that were bad.

Overall a good course to play. Negatives: Can't hit drivers on the range. Over watering of fairways in many places. Also the greens are too soft where balls digs deep. Cart starter guy was bit obnoxious but the proshop staff was very friendly and also the staff at the cafe was super nice. I plan to return.

Fairways are is rough shape. They are very large dry spots or spots without any grass in the fairways. The greens all on the front 9 are in a similar fashion. They are patchy and lumpy all over. It was nearly impossible to make a 4 foot putt with these conditions.

The worst part was that the maintenance crew were following us the entire back 9. They were using a small tractor to rake the traps but they were on the same holes as us the entire way. I think they should be going against the flow of the golfers.

This course was very different last year. I would love to see some improvements on the course.

The tee boxes on most holes and many of the fairways are in far poorer condition that when I last played there about 8 weeks ago. Most of the tee boxes don't have a proper low-cut, firm, flat grass surface on which to tee up. Many of the fairways have too many areas/patches that, at least yesterday, had been over-watered and were soft, or muddy, and many areas/patches of thick kikuyu grass which does not make for ideal ball-striking. There were also significant areas near the rough that were barren and lacking grass of any sort and had patches of Spurge Weed. I've played this course many times and this is the worst condition in which I've ever seen it.

Once I discovered this course in the spring of 2022 I was really impressed. the course layout and challenging greens kept me coming back and I formed a friendship with 3 guys I met here and remain friends (but playing elsewhere.)

My biggest complaint is the front desk staff. I was coming here every Tuesday and averaged 3/month and I was always polite and friendly trying to bond but was treated like a stranger. On one occasion I forgot my 5 wood and asked to borrow one from the pro shop and was told it would cost &15 (the club was old and heavily used) I was a little surprised that they wanted to charge me at all. I have since seen significant price increases in the last two years and rarely play here. I will say one of the player assistants named “George” is someone that made me feel welcomed and always made it a point to make small talk on the course. The cart girl is also warm and friendly. When is the club management going to read reviews and make changes?!

Worst condition I've ever seen the course in. Absolutely, mind blowingly, bad. Please please please...don't waste your money here.

Need to cut the 4-5 inch rough once a week to keep the pace of play going. And so your not spending time looking for your ball, while the unfriendly Marshall with no personality has his eyes on you all day.🏌️‍♂️

It’s not worth it they make you pre-pay over $100. Our teatime was at 9:30. We didn’t tee off till almost 10:10. The round took over five hours to play. We saw the cart girl one time on hole seven we asked her if we see her on the back nine she said absolutely and we saw her when we were on the green on hole 18 the Ranger just drives around and does absolutely nothing Way better places to play for the money that you spend there don’t waste your time!!!

I played this course in late May and it was wonderful, Today it was like a completely different course, greens were uneven making the ball dribble across them, fairways were in disrepair and even the roughs were unkept.
