Chastain should be better!
In the center of Buckhead...A shame that the course is in such bad shape. No amenities. No water on the course.

Grounds need some work.
We weren’t there on a typical day because of all the recent rain so I will give a pass for the soggy/muddy conditions; ruined a pair of shoes stepping into a bog in the middle of a fairway. The condition of the cups was not up to par (pun intended)…some of them weren’t seated properly and some were just in rough condition in general. It’s hard to sink a putt when the green surrounding the cup is uneven and bumpy.
Horrible Pace of Play
Took almost 6 hours to play 18 holes. Will not come back!
Waste of time
This is not a great course, but I wanted to play a late round (7:20pm). I drive an hour round trip to be told the carts need to be in by 8 15pm - leaving 54 minutes to play 18 holes. Nowhere is this noted in the app and I saw no caveat that would save me from wasting my time driving there.
If you're walking maybe you could get 9 in. Hardly worth the trouble!
Decent at best
. Decent city course not in the best of conditions . Slow pace of play.
absolute bogus
this course is so unprofessional the tee times are all mixed up and they have their own weird rules
Truly Terrible Course
Greens were bad, so slow. Pace of play is pretty bad. Course conditions are truly terrible. Most egregiously, this is one of the worst designed courses Ive ever seen. Greens are crowded by manufactured hazards, off the tee there is so much trouble, there are zero ways for this course to punish you without stroking you for a slightly poor shot.
Greens are better
The greens are better than they have been. I felt like they rolled and it was possible to make putts. Hope they keep focus on this over all else. Would be nice if they sold beer.
Had to quit. So slow
Don’t like the course layout. Prefer the old way. No water on course. All coolers were empty. Carts are beat up. Pace of course so slow we left after 5 hours at hole 12. I do not recommend this course for weekend play. Will not return on the weekend.
Not on the weekend again
First time I ever turned around and quit. After reaching the 12 hole in five hours decided to go home. Course was packed and foursomes were in place but never experienced such slow play. All the water coolers were empty. There was no ice to be had at the clubhouse. I encourage anyone playing to bring their own cooler and drinks. No beer sold. Tee boxes are worn out. Cart paths are new. Yay. Greens are in excellent shape. No driving range. Maybe set up some nets to hit into. Two putting greens. Yay. A weekday round might be more enjoyable than the weekend. I will definitely not play here on the weekend again.
SLOWW pace of play
A TON of walkers, and on top of that people will walk on the course without a tee-time.
I stepped on the tee box for my 6:45pm tee-time and was joined by a random guy. I then asked him, "So, you're 6:45 too?"
and he replied "Oh, I dunno, don't think she gave me a tee-time". It made no sense to me. I then told him I'd prefer to play by myself and hit my shot.
I look over my shoulder on the green and there he is, it had been almost like 5 minutes and he was on my butt. It was so ridiculous.
This is not the first time a random has messed up my tee-time. Another time I asked a teenager the same question about the tee-time, and he just kinda shruged.
The course itself isn't bad to play really for the money but it's situated in a rich neighborhood and the neighborhood people seem like they just step on the course without booking a tee-time.
I had to pass two groups of walking teenagers in front of me my last round to actually play at a decent pace. After that, I had a great time at Chastain.
