Nice CG to practice
This is one of my favorite courses ( Burbank /Sepulveda ) since its closer to me where I live. I played all over whenever I have the chance but I always playas here most of the time. Not hard but not easy definitely. Just right!

I really had a great time at Balboa golf course ! I am already planning on coming back to play there again or perhaps play the Encino golf course which is right there too and I am sure it is just as good. ⛳️😎😁
4 groups on Hole 3! Called shop. Nobody came
Unbelievable.
Some hackers plugged up the pace upfront around 12:30pm, when we got to Hole 3 we were the 4th group!!! Stood there watching this slow group on the green literally drag their feet and then proceed to spray the ball all over the course.
Got to Hole 10 in 2 hours and 20!! They were on the green and we were the 4th group standing on the tee again!! Nobody came from the shop after having called them on Hole 3. Nobody helped.
Got to 12, I nearly fell asleep in the middle fairway after having been the 4th group on the hole, again!!
Sure it moved a little bit but that hacker group was full 2 holes behind when we saw them there.
Got done in 4 hours 35, but it felt like 6 hours as we waited on practically every shot.
Front 9 greens were better as they had been cut, back 9 were spongier since they were not cut.
Fairways were mostly nice as they were mostly cut other than some weird strips down the middle of some fairways that they missed LOL
Front 9 bunkers had been raked, back 9 not.
What is wrong with LA? What is wrong with the City and its people, the culture????
Great Course
Surprised at how great this course was. Went with 2 friends and the staff were super friendly and got us going. Course was really great and was in great condition. Would recommend!
1st time at Balboa GC was fun
Pro shop personnel were friendly, efficient and professional.
Cart lady was very nice.
The course was in pretty nice condition as were the greens. Although I feel the holes on the greens must have been a little too small as my ball didn't fall often enough on the first putt. I'm sure it wasn't my putting

Well, manicured and maintained
For the price point of a city municipal course
It doesn’t get much better than this
Fairways are trimmed and groomed as well as the greens are very well-maintained
Thank you for the maintenance and upkeep. It is a pleasure to play Encino/Balboa.

Golf cart charged by person for $13.00
So two person $26.00
They have not charged by person before. I think a staff ripped off be careful
