Dry Creek Ranch Golf Course

I’ve played this course a few times and have always loved the challenges it provides. The boxes were uneven and you couldn’t find a patch of grass anywhere (I hit off the ground with irons from the box). I found myself falling backwards on many occasions after swinging the club because the ground was uneven. The front nine fairways were decent, but the back nine were awful. On a least four holes the fairways looked like grass waste areas and I’m not kidding, and you had to pick up your ball and move it.

I really like Dry Creek and I’ve met the owner and sat in the restaurant a few times, but it looked really bad. The playing partner said he would never return and he didn’t even pay for the round. Lol. I hope this course gets it together and doesn’t fall like so many other courses in Sacramento area.

Never played a course that had different colored pole markers for 100, 150, 200 yards. How hard and expensive could it possibly be ro fix this in one day?? Love the lay out but it lacks basic maintenance that would make it so much better.

Dry Creek is a course that goes through considerable course condition changes as well as pace of play differences.

This long challenging course with tree-lined Fairways and trees that guard some greens is at times in very good condition. Most times it is in okay condition and unfortunately too often it in 'what the heck' condition. Pace of play at this course can be excellent but again that depends on when you're playing. Friday afternoon begins the slow down for a turtle pace over the weekend. On the other hand weekday early birds can be on and off course in 3 hours. The course has reasonable rates and offers an annual senior program (55+) discount that is well worth the money if you can make this course a regular play on your schedule.

The staff was very unfriendly and disorganized. Course was totally dried out and the tees were like rough. Greens were so so, but very slow. I do not recommend playing thus course if paying more than $10.

I really like the course.. a real challenge.. can’t just bomb away..greens weren’t in the best shape.. overall can’t beat the price with my $10 off

This course at one time was in decent shape. It appears the owners have let it go. Fairways are in awful shape. You end up with poor lies in the middle of the fairway. Wet tire tracks in several of the fairways. Bunkers in horrible condition. Some of the greens had fairly large indentations. Restrooms were dirty. Restaurant area filthy.

We had a teatime for 215 we showed up at 1:15 to hit the driving range before we tee off the lady at the front desk did not want to give us a cart to drive to the driving range which is about 400 yards behind the pro shop in between a creek and a wooded area.

She also rudely said we cannot Tee off now which we had no intentions off nor did we ask because we wanted to warm up prior to our tee time, I have played the scores about five times and I love the layout and I keep hoping management will be much improved but unfortunately I highly doubt it and I will never play there again unless it’s a hot deal for less than $10!!

The greens need a lot of work. Trees need to be trimmed or removed. Grass around the green is mostly weeds and making chip shots very difficult.

This is a fun course to get out and play for the price but I guess you get what you pay for. Good Lay out but the course is always wet in areas. Greens have spots that have not been fixed in a long time. And the a driving range is the worst in the area. Fairways are decent at the greens roll out well in the places there is not Mud

The course is in a lot better shape now compared to a couple of years ago and staff's a lot more professional. Course is the same but good condition n greens a very well kept now. I will definitely play again.
