Get in early

I was looking for something new and I found a course that have LOTS of trees. You better keep your eyes open and keep it low. I forgot it also have lakes that are ready to accept your balls. Have fun and get in early.

Ode to Dry Creek

My son and I try to play here at least once a week. Very challenging course, partly due to lack of maintenance. I hope, now that owner is "rolling in the dough," he will put some money into tree trimming, bunkers, facilities...

Anyways, I was inspired to pen this little limerick:

There once was a course called Dry Creek,

It's not for the Timid or Meek,

The greens will Annoy You,

The trees will Destroy You,

"Revenge Will Be Mine!" say Next Week.

Drycreek

I like playing here. Obviously play was slow because of the recent impaction. I will play here again, the only thing I’ll share is that the trees are overgrown which can penalize a strong tee shot. Still fun to play though.

Most difficult holes in northern Cal

This is a very challenging course. Trees come into play on nearly every hole. Even with shots that find the fairway (#2,8,9,10,12,13,14,15,18) the next shot may require a shot over or around a tree. When you get to #13 you will know what I am talking about. Probably the toughest hole found anywhere at least in the area is hole #13. Also, the finishing hole is very tough. If you had a rough round and you par 18, you leave there feeling like a winner. This is a course that has you coming back to seek revenge. A good course to walk. Have fun.

Excellent course

The course is very nice and challenging. I went early so pace of play was ok. Finished in 4 hours. Gave 1 star for off-course amenities only because club house was closed. No water ,snacks , beer or anything so BYOB. And that’s why value for the $$ is 2 stars. I travel light. If I’m paying 50$ for a round and when I get thirsty or want to purchase a snack or something and I’m SOL. Kills the experience. Other than that I had a good time.

Rude owner

I don't recommend this course to anyone who wants to enjoy a nice day on golf course. Owner is rude. I've never seen anyone this rude managing a golf course. People come to enjoy the day and have fun, but it's ruined by this person. The round took 5 hours, super slow as the tee times gap is only 6-7 minutes which is very unreasonable. Course condition was ok. The design of some holes are just weird and not fair. I will not go back to this course, even though the surrounding courses are currently closed. I would rather stay home.

Golf Course Reality Is Dry Creek

This is a real golf course. Tree lined, consistent green speed not too fast and not too slow just consistent, grass in fairways so you can play ball down. He mows the course everyday so it’s ready always!

Classic back nine. Control the shaft and know where the ball is going and you won’t complain about this place. Understand it’s busy now and you won’t complain. Chris the owner has his hands full and finally making some money he deserves it after all the course has been thru. Great job Chris! Thanks for getting the course back into shape. And, walk if you can save the carts for others. Very walkable at the near 7000 yard distance. A few long par 4 that when played correct are as good as they get.

great day out of the house

I was paired up with a two some. I was called up on the loudspeaker and the course owner introduced me to the group I was joining. The course really encouraged people to keep their distance. The shop wasn't open for merchandise sales, the restaurant and bar were closed. And the seating was taken off the patios so no one gathered before or after their golf rounds. If more golf course operators were as thoughtful and concerned about their players, other courses could have remained open.

Course is tough

Course was in decent shape and played tough. Pace of play was slow five hour round. Due to covid-19 no Marshall’s and no restaurant. Bathrooms need a definite makeover. Overall was a good round.

Glad it’s not my home course

Too many trees overhanging fairways. Pace of play was horrible. Allowed a five some snd one was walking. Three older women that could hit the ball very far then couldn’t find it. Heard that bourse wasn’t on good condition but one of few courses open during shelter in place mandate. Hope I can find another course within an hours drive. Would hate to have this as only available course

Silly Tree Locations

Not a fan of this course, but it does present a challenge. Unfortunately, it doesn't reward players that can hit solid drives as trees in the middle of the fairway force you to hit a club down and away from the trees, which presents second shots that are too long for most golfers. This is on 4 of their holes, which essentially gives mid handicappers a guaranteed bogey or worse. The sand was nice and the greens were a bit slow but consistent and fair. Also, the tee box and the greens are too close in proximity. You have to be aware of errand shots while on the teebox on many of these holes. I did have fun but wont be back, as there are just so many more options.

Great Layout!

Course has a challenging and fun layout. Course needs more attention to simple things like Tee Boxes and sand traps but the overall layout is the best part of this course. Would recommend for sure.

Bargain Golf course

Dry Creek is a challenging course. Long par 4s and long Par 3s.

Ive played it in the winter spring and fall . Love the freeway noise on the back nine. LOL.. Not.

For the $29.00 you cant complain. Yes, I will play it again.

Great price! Amazing layout!

Dry Creek is an awesome course with a great layout and good conditions! The large Oaks are awesome and the course has been around a long time. it would be nice if they got an updated clubhouse and driving range but besides that this course has a unique and extremely challenging layout.
