Dry Creek Ranch Golf Course

I have loved this course for 45 years, but hadn't played it in the last 30 .(for years i played it in my mind at various driving ranges) . It is much the same as i remembered it, only the majestic Oaks that guard a couple of the greens are bigger . This course rarely punishes you for a well struck shot, but with OB's and trees it will make you pay for the bad ones. The were smooth and putted true, but were pretty slow and appear to be receiving treatment for minor black grass issues.

This is still a nice course. The greens run fast and true. Only qualm is the traffic noise on hwy 99. But

as a twosome we had the whole course to ourselves...played 18 in a relaxing 3:45 hrs.

Course was in good condition.

Fairways and Greens in good shape, tee boxes a bit rough and not level. Good combination of wide open tee shots and others with trees to demand shot shaping. Large tree guarding 18th green should be removed as it takes a perfect shot to get to green, no room for any error.

I love this course, I like the old growth oak trees and the pines.Makes for some challenging fairways. well maintained course.

This course is challenging but enjoyable.

Always love playing this course. It is a great value and it is challenging with the layout and the trees. Only complain I have is that I have golfed there over 5 times and have dealt with numerous different staff inside and every time they have been rude to my group. If it was solely based on staff friendliness, I would never go back!

Dru Creek remains a gem of a golf course in the area. Although I don't get to visit the course much (moved), I'm glad I still live close enough to play it once or twice a year.

The course was well maintained; the greens rolled true; the pim locations were fair; and the pace of play was ideal.

My only gripe revolves around the tee boxes. The tee box surfaces were inconsistent. On several tee boxes, we had a hard time finding a level spot.

Overall, it remains a great place to play. Challenging, well maintained; and reasonable.

The owner of this course is extremely rude and unprofessional. He tried forcing me and a friend to pay an extra $35 because we had separate tee times but wanted to tee off together. Then, when we asked for our money back, he got irate, told us to leave and called the police.

Never, ever again! It's shame, because aside from the ownership, I really like the course layout and playing there.

You will be tested by some narrow fairways, firm greens and traps that need more sand and less dirt. The course looks easy on the scorecard, but be prepared to place tee shots in the right spot to score.

The course played long but fair. You had to hit your driver and woods well. The greens were fast and pretty true. It was windy, which made distance calculations difficult and blew tree debris onto the green. The rough was a bit long and hard to hit out of. Tough but good day!!

marshal came to us on the 16th hole and asked us to leave as we were the only one on the course and he wanted to go home. We were a fore-some playing a an average pace and we were all intermediate golfers. He said if we could not leave then we needed to proceed very quickly to finish. I have never encountered this type of rude behavior on a course. We started at 2:08 and finished at 6:05.

Staff was very friendly. Course was challenging and fairways were in good shape. Cart paths were in poor shape and require lot of maintaining.

Great pace of play and course was great with the rain conditions we are having.

Played Dry Creek in Galt on 1/15/16. We've had a lot of rain in the area lately so getting out was paramount when the rain stopped for one day. The course was somewhat muddy and it played longer due to no roll out but overall it was in pretty good shape. There are a lot of trees so it plays tougher than the slope indicates. Got a great deal on Golfnow so that made it even better. Overall for what I paid it was a good day and I'll be back for sure.

tough to play if you don't have your A game...

Course was in good shape for December. My only complaint was the carts. Played here 2 weeks prior and the battery in our cart started loosing power on #12. By the time we came to #18 we were pushing it to get back to the clubhouse. This week the other cart in our foursome lost power on #4. We called and another was brought to us. On #18 both of our carts had to be pushed once again to get back. Went to the pro shop and asked why. The man behind the counter said that his boss had told him the power loss was due to the cold weather. I have played 2 other courses in between and both carts did not lose power or even slow down. I smell a cover up.

I got my tee time from golfnow. $17.00 dollars great deal for a course you have been looking at for a long time. I asked to move time up if I could. I was told if paid a additional cost of $15.00 dollars. I won't go back and my golf buddies will know how you treated. If I went back once it would make them more money in the long run. Not impressed. ..

We like this course and play their all the time. Plus this is the course I get my orange golf balls.

Management of course is very rude to customers. Based on Golfnow fee, attempted to force player who is allergic to cigarette smoke to ride with smokers. Owner has no regard for federal and state health and safety laws.
