Well kept course
The course was beautiful. Very well manicured and kept up. We were very pleased at the conditions of the course and how nice everything looked. Will absolutely play again soon
Challenging Course
Hadn't played this course in a while. Trees have grown making this a challenging course. Staff is friendly, we were even able to tee off early which was nice, and great price. Will definitely play here again!
Keep it straight
Hadn't played this course in a while. Course was in very good shape, greens were in great shape except for the idiots that don't take the 5 seconds to repair their divots, just a pet peeve of mine. Sand traps and fairways were in good shape also. With all the mature Oak Trees you have to keep your drives straight and away from the trees in order to score well. This being said I enjoyed the course and will be back.
Nice public course.
This course offer several challenge for the average weekday golfer, tight fairway, several ocean crossings and nice doglegs. I'll most definitely play this course again!
Father-Son Round
Dry Creek is a test of location golf. The trees are so mature that placement is quite important. That being said, it is a fair test for the average to above average golfer. The price was right and there were few other golfers on a weekday morning. Fairways were very well kept up, but greens were a little beat up in a few places. Overall, a very enjoyable rond and we will return.
Enjoyable
Lots of trees. Some of your tee shots will have to be clubbed down due to the trees.
Great Staff, Pretty good course!
employees in the pro shop could not have been more pleasant. The course was in pretty good shape considering both the drought and the number of rounds it probably sees played. While I don't play this course regularly, I have played it numerous times and have never been disappointed.
Nice layout
Nice layout. Greens and tee boxes not in the best shape. Fun course need to hit the ball straight. Lots of trees
Take a Pass
This course continues to go downhill. The fairways and rough are similar---you can't distinguish one from the other. The greens were pretty decent but the fairways could use a good mowing. Through GolfNow the price was very reasonable but the overall condition of the course will not entice me to return.
Foggy Weather Golf
The condition of the course was great considering the damp weather. The fog never lifted that day here in this area of the valley. Freeway noise is not an issue for the game, however it does make it difficult to talk to others at times. The course staff is pleasant and responsive to any need you may have. The mighty oaks make some shots difficult but do add to the enjoyment of the course.
Beware of the trees
I have played this course a fair amount of times. This course gets me some what out of my comfort zone because of the trees. It makes you keep the ball in the fair way if you want to score well. The greens were in great shape for this time of year.
This course can become a lot better with minor improvement.
The course is old but there are several several areas to make the game a lot more fun, such as course restroom, water fountain and clean greens. The reapstrooms were not clean, no papers. The greens looked unkept for a prolonged time, more than ten months or so. The carts were not clean and some carts did not have winshields.
Great GolfNow value!
We played the course 2 days after heavy rains, but the course was playable. Some of the fairways was soft and wet due to the early rains, some fairways was thin of grass due to winter conditions. The greens was very good condition. We will play this course again in the spring and summer time.
great course
Great customer service and challenging course. One if the best courses near sacramento and pace of play one of the best. I will be back.
What a shame!
This use to be one of the best courses in the Sacramento area but the lack of maintenance and investment has rendered the course subpar. The junk accumulated around the "driving range", a field that reflects little or no care, and the tee box for the 3rd hole is just sloppy. It is a shame to see such a well-conceived layout in neglect and disarray, with no improvement in sight.
Pace to play was very good. Finished playing in 4 hour 10 minutes.
Course in very good shape for this time of year. I had a good time!
cold and windy
I chose a bad day to play due to cold and windy. Not the course's fault, but it did not enhance my experience. I forgot about the goofy 150 poles in fairways being all different colors. On hole #2 it's blue so I thought it was a 200 yard marker and thank goodness I trust my eyes more than my brain because the distance just didn't seem right. Anyway if you play here, a pole is a pole and no matter the color it's 150 yards.
Also, the starter in the shop is a little rough around the edges. I explained to him I was sick and didn't want to bother whomever they paired me with. I simply asked for my own cart incase I needed to get to the bathroom or leave and they were not accommodating at all.
With all that being said, I love that this course is finally giving some hot deal rates again.
Only #18 matters
Great challenging course. Conditions are average for Winter. Reached 18 in 2, parred it, nothing else matters.
SLOW!!!
It took us 5 hours to play 15 holes, we ran out of daylight and could not finish. Second thing was the fairways were so long it was like hitting out of the rough. The driving range is poor one of the worst on the valley no grass to hot from. To top it all off my cart ran out of power and we had to push it up the bridge. I wouldn't recomend this place to anyone one of the worse courses in the area.
