Fun course. Workout walking
This is a great course for the money especially if you want to get a work out walking. Fairways and greens are in good shape overall with a few patchy parts here and there. Not much wait when walking in the afternoon during the summer. My only concern would be the lack of water on the course even though we are in a Covid time
Requires Accuracy and Placement
A links type course running through the woods and hills. Never an adjacent hole to hit over on. Out of bounds every hole. Plenty of hazards.
Gorgeous scenery. All types of shots required as holes meander in every direction and shape, with elevation changes up and down and again.
Was a little burnt all over due to to heat and drought conditions. Overall in good shape considering. If you hit it off of the edge of the fairway where there is limited watering, the ball is running and rolling a long way.
Would be nice if ball marks were repaired on the greens. Only complaint is some of the greens were being watered really early afternoon and made for some wet conditions on some of them, while others were dry. Really screwed with already slow and just somewhat smooth greens. Some fairways were long or had grass clippings clumps in big areas. Most sand was thin, but groomed.
A beautiful course in the Hills and valleys and value priced.
Boy did I mess up!!
We arrived about 1/2 hour before our scheduled starting time only to find I had booked the time for Wednesday instead of Thursday!! Fortunately, the pro allowed us to play within 15 minutes of our scheduled time on the previous day, and credited us with the previous day's charges!! So stupid of me, but they were really accommodating - we really enjoyed our golfing experience and everyone wants to return to the course. The greens, although in great shape, were a bit slower than we are used to, but we accepted the challenge!!
Well Worth the $
Wonderful day at Alta Sierra. Greeted with a smile in the golf shop. Course was very pure. Greens were slightly slow, but smooth. Great layout. Well worth the drive.
Amazing value with spectacular views.
This course was incredible and such an amazing value at $59 with a cart! Spectacular scenery and views. I will definitely play again when I come back to visit my parents.
Great layout but.....
This is a great course but they do suck you in with the great rates but walking. You want a cart?....$15 per person.
