The Trophy Club of Apalachee

The course played long, but fair. The staff was excellent. One of our foursome was late and the staff promptly brought him to the hole we were playing. The marshall went back four holes to retrive a lost pitching wedge for us. Playing this track was a positive experience.

I enjoy the course. It is a par 71 with 5 par 3s. I have played most of the course in the area and Trophy Club is adequately maintained. This time of the year it is green and the putting surfaces are smooth and fast. Sometimes it gets a lot of traffic and the casual players don't fix their ball marks. Certainly not the best layout but a very good value.

After all the rain we had the course is in good condition. Greens were rolling smooth and fairly quick. Fairways in good condition. Pace of play was good but can often become very slow from mid afternoon on. All in all good course to play.

When we arrived the members were about to have a tournament so the let us start on the back nine. Saved a lot of time I would recommend

While the greens were in excellent condition and rolled nicely they were as hard as rock. When hitting a wedge onto the green the first bounce was 4-5 feet in the air and it was almost impossible to get anything to hold. This was really the only negative but it was major and made for an poor experience at this time.

The greens are the best I have ever played @ Trophy Club of Apalachee

Rolling hills with elevated tees and greens, tree lined holes, tightly cut fairways, modest rough, well placed bunkers, a few hazards and the best greens I've played all year made for a very enjoyable golfing experience. The course is challenging but is not brutally long, has a few tees from which to choose that make a real difference in the way the course plays, and a fair minded design that lends itself to many different styles of play. Add the clubhouse with proshop, putting green and practice range and Trophy Club of Apalachee is the complete package. This is a course I plan to play many more times.

Played Apalachee (in light rain and wind) on 5/3/2013 and had an enjoyable round. The greens were in excellent condition, and the fairways were quite good, too. The course is a fair test of strategy and shotmaking, with a good mix of short/long, easy/hard par 4s.

My buddy and I played at the "hot deal" price (the course is a steal for that amount), but the rack rates are a tad on the expensive side.

To make a short story even shorter, I would definitely play there again.

This course has plenty of exciting features that challenge any golfer.

Other courses in the area were charging $15-20 more per round. TCA is a good course for a great price.

This course has always been fun. Some of the greens simply slope way too much and do not hold even the best of shots. Really not realistic. Some of the fairways are mowed too short. The carts are amazing! The course overall is in good shape and the greens do roll nice. Staff is very nice.

Course needs a bunch of work in the fairways and tee boxes

Overall, I love this course and the greens were some of the nicest I've played in a while. They are really doing a great job. There are some weed issues throughout the course or they would easily get a fifth star from me. I definitely need to get to this course more often. Fix the weeds and you've got a top notch place on your hands.

Great staff and well maintained for the time of year!

The course was in good shape and I enjoyed playing it. The pace of play was very slow though. It took 3 of us 5 hours to finish and we waited on 14 of the 18 holes.

All in all it was an enjoyable round of golf.

The check in staff delayed me until scheduled tee time and the course was empty (no one of first tee). No staff in food/drink area, they do have free ice and water.
Course is in winter condition, lots of divots, greens have various grasses growing on them, tees are rough, several fare ways have roped off areas with missing grass , couple of water sprinklers heads were leaking causing massive wet areas with cart tracks and unplayable areas. Rangers were checking on your play every several hole and there were several holes where the had trucks drive around with dirt slowing play, but I did not see any course work.

looks like they are going to cut down a lot of tree on every hole. marked and flagged. edge of fairways needs lot of work (no grass just dirt). fairways will be good when they green up. They need to let the non existent rough grow up this year.

Course was in good shape, greens were firm and fast... Course was challenging with lots of slope throughout the course....Took a little longer than we would have liked due to being paired with a 2-some that was HORRIBLE... but we had a good outing....

Tee off time delayed by 45 minutes. Very crowded. I had one woman in my some, but still waited 5-15 minutes on every hole.

The course had tournament in the morning which delayed the whole course. They need to manage the tee time better than this.

Course does not drain well either.

The weather was spectacular and the course was fairly busy at both the practice facilities as well as the course. There seemed to be a lot of twosomes out yesterday. One thing that I remember from playing this course is that there are a lot of bare/unmaintained areas all around the course. The overseeded Bermuda greens are in fair shape, but had several diseased areas as well as many ball marks. I may add this course back into our rotation of courses. Overall I found this round to be average due to the conditions of the course/greens.
