Dormant Conditions
Course was mostly dormant.
The tee boxes were horrible.
The greens were very nice but a lot of stoopud people not fixing marks
Ride don't walk, well worth the drive
Beautiful day, practice green and front 9 were being aerated, back nine greens were nice and fairly fast for early March. Not too long, tough but fair with a few forced carries and sloping fairways. Our foursome moved fairly quickly even on a fairly crowded day. Thankfully I'd been paired up with guys who'd been here before. Lots of distance between holes so it can be hard to navigate. Overall an A- in this price range, definitely worth coming back later in the year when the fairways turn green.
Apalachee
Was in good shape for the winter we have had. Greens were excellent and fast. Cant recall which hole it was but its a drivable par 4 were the green was putt putt comical with the hole location. Nice pace of play for a packed Sunday. Play from the blues to get your moneys worth.
Too Slow, 3 hours for 9 holes
I paid for 18 but only got in 9. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes. The tee times were stacked on and it wasn't worth the money, time, or frustration. Tee times were not spaced out far enough and the marshalls were not doing their jobs.
Poor drainage
Absolutely the worst course I have been on with drainage issues, not just a few holes but at least half of the holes had a drainage problem. Other than that the course was good but overpriced in my opinion for the condition it was in.
course good shape greens excellent!
Fairways and tee boxes in good shape. The greens were in excellent condition. They were rolling probably 10! No complaints...the weather was awesome and the course was in great shape.
Hidden mid-week gem. .
With a slight threat of showers, I was able to tee off and play alone in 3:20... This course plays fairly and only has a couple of tricky spots. .. I'd play it more often if it wasn't 35 miles from my home. . always a good experience, and the staff are young and energetic.
Pace of Play
Have played course twice recently and overall a good experience; however, pace of play can be a problem which could be solved by more visibility of marshals.
Good times in dacula
The course was neat and the staff was friendly and even let me start 30 mins before my tee time since it was a little slow played this course a couple times as a young man but found more joy in it this time around
High grass off the fairway
Be prepared to be in the short grass or bring lots of balls. Nice day, a little wait but to be expected.
worth the drive from the city
This is a fun golf course. Not to long, fantastic par 3's, and great greens.
Good course for the money.
The course was fun and enjoyable and I would recommend it. It did however need some maintenance on the greens. There was a lot of debris on the greens, leaves etc
Price okay! Staff so so! Course pretty bad!
$20 with cart on GN! Not bad! Guy at desk spoke but acted as if he was bothered to have to wait on us! Course: Tee boxes were scruffy at best, a lot of bald spots and long grass. Greens, you name it they had it, bald spots, ball marks everywhere, dead grass, bumps and humps, hydraulic fluid spills, tire tread marks, just poor overall. Could be a pretty nice track but the staff and the maintenance both seem to be lacking greatly. Last note, of course there was no marshall, we played behind an asian group that was so slow I thought for a minute we were going back in time? Terrible! Overall I would give them one more shot, maybe later in the fall.
Bent Grass Greens
Greens are in fair shape for this time of the year. Nice challenging course. I would definitely recommend!
Great shape. Great value
The fairways and greens were well maintained. A couple of the tee boxes were a little rough. Nothing unplayable, just could use a little TLC. I played the players tees - a mix of tips and blues - and shot an 82. As a 10-12 handicap, I felt right up my alley. A few holes make you lay up and I like that I had to use almost every club in the bag. Par threes were a good mix. All par 5's reachable for a longer hitter like myself. Must be accurate though because most of the approaches are tight. Great and fun course to play.
Greens were nice and true.
Course was in great shape. I own The Georgia Golf League and we always have The Trophy Club of Appalachee as a regular tour stop each year.
Should not be a first choice
The conditions at Trophy Club of Apalachee seem to vary considerably. I am a big fan of bent grass greens, but the greens at this course are not being properly maintained. This is an average layout and a few holes need some attention for the course to be reasonably playable. This is most true of hole number 8 where a good middle of the fairway tee shot will frequently tumble into a water hazard. The number 8 green is now basically bare and holding the green can be nearly impossible depending on pin position. Forget making a put of any length.
The staff does not manage the pace of play.
The practice facilities are better than average for a public course.
I will continue to play at this course, but only as a back-up and when the price is low.
very nice course
I can't wait to come back when its not so rainy. I must say even with all the rain the course was in great condition. Grounds crew should be commended. This course is a keeper!
This has very challenging holes. If you don'y get the ball off the tee in good position you do have a challenge getting to the green
I would like to play at faster pace. It seems the member rule the pace of play. That is a concern; don't go looking for balls when I'm playing behind you.
Course is challenging from the tips.
The course is always maintained and stays in good shape. It is much more difficult from the back tees! I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
