Turkey Creek Golf Club
About
Turkey Creek Golf Club in Lincoln sprawls across rolling hills that are covered with mature oak forests. The back nine even closely resembles Germany's Black Forest. The centerpiece of the course is the old granite quarry that was transformed into an expansive lake that comes into play on the third and final holes. The golf course is formidable, testing golfers with blind shots and uneven lies, but the challenges are nicely balanced by long, open fairways. Water comes into play several times throughout as well as the towering trees that blanket the landscape. The course will keep golfers on their toes but there is plenty of visual respite available. Players can often catch a glimpse of the abundant wildlife that call Turkey Creek Golf Club home, including deer, quail, foxes, and of course, wild turkeys.

18th tee box, with a few elevation changes and water on the left. If you feel confident, slug it off to the left and clear the water, putting you in a great position for a second shot to the green Photo submitted by copz1998 on 07/20/2018

Ridiculous
Paid for 18 holes but it took 3 hours to play the front 9 so we left when there were 3 groups ahead of us on hole 10 waiting to tee off. This wasn’t even the worst part of it!!! While playing hole 7 the Marshall came up to us and told us the problem was the foursome in front of the group in front of us. I said no really they take 20 minutes on every green. (add more cuss words please cuz I went off on him). As the Marshall go tell them to move along. He Just turned around and left. Why have a Marshall when he don’t have the balls to do his job. Never again for me.
Great greens
Fairways are a little spotty but very playable. Greens & bunkers were amazing.
Pace of play
There were no Marshalls on the course. We played the front nine in 2 hours and 25 minutes, and the back nine was 2 hours and 45 minutes. Entirely to long of a round at Turkey Creek. I think the problem was that people were playing from the blue tees when they have no reason or ability to do so. It was a very frustrating day. Hit wait, hit wait, hit wait every hole.
Too Expensive for the Condition
It's been years since I've played Turkey Creek and I will not be back again. The fairways are in horrible condition. A lot of times you can't tell the different between the fairway and the rough. Tee boxes are in horrible shape as well. The only positive for Turkey Creek are the greens. They play fast and are in great shape.
Course needs some TLC
Course is in rough condition. Fairways are rock hard and appear to have not seen water for months. Grass is patchy, short, and totally dormant. Tee boxes are a mess, mostly dirt with a little grass in places. Greens are ok, but other than that, it's a cow pasture. I've been playing The Ridge and Alta Sierra the last few weekends and they're both in much better shape than Turkey Creek right now. Paid $75 today and it felt like a $30 muni course. I'd recommend playing elsewhere until at least May or June when this course will have a chance to recover. Sorry to be negative, just my opinion. It didn't help that today's round took 5 hours and 15 minutes either. Disappointing day at a course I normally like.
Fair and scenic
Wise fairways and short rough. Challenging water hazards. Fast greens @11!
Monday Funday
Course was in really good due to fall type weather. Some greens partially punched. Really nice afternoon at a very reasonable price. Come on daylight savings time so we can fit in 18 at twilight rate.
Rough fairways
Great lay out, good greens, fairways are below average
Nice course; slow play
I've played Turkey Creek several times over the years and, for the most part, I've always enjoyed playing there. Understanding it's winter, I had no great expectations of the fairway conditions; most courses in the area are in similar condition. Tee boxes and greens were in very good shape.
My only criticism is the pace of play. There was a large party playing in front of us, 3-foursomes, who were very slow. It took well over 5 hours to finish playing, yet I never saw a staff member trying to get increased pace of play.
