Golfing- you get what you pay for
Course is adequate, back nine is better, but not well maintained. Would not pay more than $40 for a round. Needs a little TLC.
Love discourse
Las Positas is not only a challenge it is a fun walk in the park . I will definitely be back soon
Very slow, unfriendly staff, ok comdition
Pace is very slow. No Marshall to keep moving but Marshalls roaming around driving range and everywhere else. VERY crowded. You have to be there at least 2 hours before tee time if you want to warm up in the range. There’s lines to get a turn. Even in putting/chipping practice area. Very crowded! Staff is not too friendly and the bathrooms! Very dirty and falling apart. Now they have a big sized restaurant which is good but also VERY crowded especially in this pandemic. The course condition is ok for this time of year but not as good as most in the area, Not recommending to anyone, go somewhere else.
Good Layout but Slow Play
I enjoy the layout here. Straight shots are rewarded, but if you stray there us usually an option to make it up. Fairways were in good condition considering the time of year, a few muddy spots, but those were easily avoided.
My only complaint is the pace of play. 2 hours front nine was fine, 3 hours for the back was NOT. It would be helpful if they had a Marshall to monitor play. Had a group in front of us, new to the game , that could have used some coaching to play ready golf. Still a fun course and great value, will keep returning, worst day golf still better than best day at work.
First time on this course
I was scheduled for a 7:21am tee time, unfortunately the three some Ivwas to go with had canceled. Turned out to be better for me.
Went out behind a foursome and they allowed me to go ahead of them , which put me behind a twosome so the pace of play was great, never really had to wait. I came out to play a new course and practice with all of my clubs. I am fairly new to the game and I was able to shot an 86. My best outing ever, usually I have been in high 90’s-low 100’s. Very happy with the course and had a great time. My driver finally flew high and far in the fairways, short game was best yet and putting was good.
I will definitely be back to play this course and bring friends here.
paying 17.00 for non golfer fee need to be review since
covid-19 only one golfer per cart rules !
I have played other courses with out a passenger/non golfer fee! thank you
Cart fee is tricky - they charge by player and at $34 for two seems pretty high for a mini-type layout
Course was in pretty good shape for middle of winter. Greens were pretty good but lots of unrepaired ball marks. Pace of play was good until we caught up with the group in front of us where it slowed to about fair. We finished 16 holes - started at 2:06 and played until nearly 6:00. Would have been about 4.5 hours if daylight had allowed.
