Really fun and lots of opportunity to go for it
Showed up an hour early to warm up on the range and was offered to go out right away. Ended up with a great playing partner and having a lot of fun. Greens were fun, fairways open enough to go for it often, and a couple holes with a risk reward on laying up. Overall I had a lot of fun and will play there again.
Oliver Closeoff
Green we’re in good shape fairways need a little love.
Good shape
Been playing LP as my home course the last 4 months. Best conditions I’ve seen in a couple months. Fairways were sodded and greens were looking good after several weeks of looking like an artillery field (fix your ball marks, people). Was a bit ragged about 6-8 weeks ago, even 3-4 weeks ago, but but looking much better now this particular Friday. Don’t blame management, every golf course has been SLAMMED and not a lot of time for maintenance or even rest for the grass (it is a living organism).
Was a little chilly and some on and off showers, but nothing major. Surprised how well greens held up with the recent rains.
I gotta say, it was a good day
Highway song
Really good course great challenge water and most holes narrow fairways with trees had been about 2 years since I last played here. Probably will be making my way out there shortly. Good test of your golf game good conditions was a pleasant surprise. I take this over Poppy ridge any day.
Warning Frost Delays
I booked a 11:52 tee time to my dismay it looked as if there is was going to be a shotgun start only to learn from the Proshop there was a 2 hour Frost Delay.. I could if started later but would not finish 18 before darkness. Perhaps next time they can do a shotgun start then everyone can get out at once. Very disapointing driving a long way for nothing.
Typical municipal type of course; interesting layout. Pace of Play was atrocious
Great place to play!
I enjoyed my afternoon walking the Las Positas course, great pace and great scenery. Airport nearby is all bi-planes, not too noisy. Played a day after it rained and was not walking in muck all day. Will recommend and will play again!
Great Course
I play this course often and enjoy it all the time. Pace of play was good and the layout is challenging without penalizing good shots like some courses do. A few areas with drainage issues and mud, but tee boxes and greens were fine. Staff is great and food at the turn in the best in the area.
Course conditions have seriously deteriorated.
In the past this course had excellent maintenance and an enjoyable design. The design is unchanged but the fairways are blighted and the bunkers and greens were barely passable. The pace of play was 4 1/2 hours on a Tuesday afternoon. The group ahead of us was giving on course lessons to each other. Not a marshal in site. I won’t return
Classic muni, very walkable and pretty easy
Reminds me a lot of Poplar Creek in San Mateo. Flat, not a ton of OB, by a freeway, surprisingly nice.
