Excellent value, course is in very good condition. Once they finish the new tee-box on #9 it will even better
MAY Flowers into Summer JUNE
This course is my favorite of the Monterey area public courses. The layout is beautiful with some nice elevation changes on the front nine. The course isn't difficult, but it's also not easy. It's a course that'll boost your confidence providing you don't blow it with your short game. Great staff, and sufficient practice facilities before you begin play. The pace of play was good. I didn't see the Marshall, but there didn't appear for one to be necessary. Playing here during Spring and Summer months is a treat. Greens could have been a little faster.
Great Golf course
Greens were great place of play was great practice facilaties great wife and I love to play here👍😊
Great day for golf
We had a great day of golf. One friend had his best round of 77!
Great day
Enjoyed the round with a nice guy Brian. Course is a shorty but a goody. Well maintained and fun.
Excellent Conditions
This place has fairways that rival those at Pebble Beach. They are that good! Super lush and a deep emerald green.
Speaking of greens, they are still healing from recent aeration but still in nice shape. Give them about 2 weeks and they too will be top notch.
Monterey Pines is a fun course and very easy to walk. There was a foursome in front of us holding up the pace (they were 4 holes behind the group in front of them) once we got around them it was clear sailing
On the range
We checked in at the pro shop early so we headed to the range. We found out the ball machine doesn’t take cash or credit. You need a token or key. A real nice man came over to us and asked if we need help. We said where do you get a token. He said at the pro shop. I think to pro in the shop was an amateur. He didn’t offer us tokens. Anyways the nice man had a key and bought us all a bucket! Thank you Mr Rangeman! And the course is in great shape!
Everything were great except the green were just punctuare
Amazing public course! Well worth it.....
Playing golf during the spring time in Monterey is truly a beautiful thing. With all of the world renowned courses in this area, with Pebble Beach being the elite, this is one of the best values you'll find. This course has all the practice and warm-up amenities you'll need. The pace of play was unbelievable. I was playing by myself at 10:30am in the morning with 2 holes empty in front and behind me. I was shocked it wasn't busier. The course was in great shape, however there was a lot of sand on the greens. There was a beverage girl who saw me three times from start to finish. I was impressed by her work ethic. If you have a chance to play in this area and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars playing one of the more well-known courses, I highly suggest playing at Monterey Pines. The staff was very friendly, and it's obvious the grounds team works hard to keep this course beautiful. I can't wait to come back.
Quaint Golf Course
The course was in good shape. The greens had recently been punched so putting was difficult but such is life since it is highly needed to keep the green’s healthy.
The course is very short but fun. Used my driver 3 times. Accuracy, however, is key.
The group ahead of us was a little slow, playing tees way over their head.
Recommend playing. Great place for honing in your irons.
I would not have paid the price that we did if I had known we were not able to play the FULL 18 hole course. We did a double round on the front nine. They work hard at keeping the course really nice, I appreciate that but GOLF NOW should have posted that it was under upkeep or given a better price. I like this course very much.
