Monterey Pines Golf Club

Fun, open course with some drivable par 4's. Well-kept and good value. Walk it-it's a short, flat course. Definitely recommend!

This course relatively flat; fairways green and good condition. Green fee reasonable. Course not huge challenge for gifted golfers but most of us aren't in that category. Lots of coots near water hazards. Sometimes noisy with corporate commercial jets departing adjacent airport but not significant issue for me. Easy access off hwy 1 in Monterey near fairgrounds. My brother and I pleasantly surprised at course condition considering drought. Overall good deal.

Great course, if I lived in the area I would make this my home course.

This was my 5th round at this facility and it never changes. Very nice facility, friendly and professional employees, grounds very well kept (except the occasional mud hen), equipment in excellent condition and other players are quite congenial. I felt very welcome at the Pro Shop. I will play this course whenever I am in the Monterey area.

Great walking course, greens in great shape, course well maintained. Will be back...several times!

It was a little slow at first, but picked up on back nine. Fairways are wide but greens can be a little tricky. I would play more here if price was discounted.

The greens are fast and undulating. It was mostly play it safe putting for me. I was ten over and only made one putt over 15 feet. The fairways are well groomed so the bsll sits nicely. The staff were friendly. The eeather was gorgeous with a slight breeze, typical winter weather for the Monterey bay. I highly recommend this course.

Wonderful process - Golf Now - Wonderful pricing for the round of golf - Very friendly at the desk. The greens are in great shape but had a tough time reading the breaks - will come back for the challenge again!!

Monterey Pines has always been a great place to play
I and my friends make it a point to play there at least once a month. Challenging course yet no too long.
Good confidence builder

No Marshall to keep play moving, we were held up by a 4 some who were 3 hole behind . Play from the proper tees for your ability. Is my advise.

Monterey Pines is a fun little course. Open, forgiving fairways in pretty good shape. Greens are cut really short and slick as snot on a doorknob. It was a nice course to play with my wife and another couple. Not much elevation change, so walking was a great choice. The course even allowed us to make a change to our original tee time so the four of us could play together.
We will definitely play this course again.

The course was in great shape. Challenging course but lots of fun. Have played this course several times. It is a great value for the location.

If you like airplanes AND golf, this is the place for you. Located at the end of the runway of Monterey airport, there was a constant stream of departing aircraft, mostly private or corporately owned.

This was our first time playing this course. We must have hit on a good day. The weather was great and the course was not crowded. The staff was very friendly. There was sand and water to make for interesting play. The greens are a bit challenging but I think we will get better with practice. Overall a great experience.

Played Monterey Pines for first time on January 7, 2014 with 70 degree weather and no wind. Day was beautiful for a walk on a flat golf course. The staff are friendly, the course is short, but the greens are in great shape. The fairways are also in great shape on the front nine, but on the back nine the fairways are sparse and some around the one lake are full of goose and mud hen bombs, if you know what I mean. Be sure to locate the air hose after your round to get off the bombs from your shoes and push cart wheels.
