Great walking course, greens in great shape, course well maintained. Will be back...several times!

It was a little slow at first, but picked up on back nine. Fairways are wide but greens can be a little tricky. I would play more here if price was discounted.

Course is in great shape. Pace of play was quick.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

The greens are fast and undulating. It was mostly play it safe putting for me. I was ten over and only made one putt over 15 feet. The fairways are well groomed so the bsll sits nicely. The staff were friendly. The eeather was gorgeous with a slight breeze, typical winter weather for the Monterey bay. I highly recommend this course.

Wonderful process - Golf Now - Wonderful pricing for the round of golf - Very friendly at the desk. The greens are in great shape but had a tough time reading the breaks - will come back for the challenge again!!

Monterey Pines has always been a great place to play
I and my friends make it a point to play there at least once a month. Challenging course yet no too long.
Good confidence builder

No Marshall to keep play moving, we were held up by a 4 some who were 3 hole behind . Play from the proper tees for your ability. Is my advise.

Monterey Pines is a fun little course. Open, forgiving fairways in pretty good shape. Greens are cut really short and slick as snot on a doorknob. It was a nice course to play with my wife and another couple. Not much elevation change, so walking was a great choice. The course even allowed us to make a change to our original tee time so the four of us could play together.
We will definitely play this course again.

The course was in great shape. Challenging course but lots of fun. Have played this course several times. It is a great value for the location.

If you like airplanes AND golf, this is the place for you. Located at the end of the runway of Monterey airport, there was a constant stream of departing aircraft, mostly private or corporately owned.

This was our first time playing this course. We must have hit on a good day. The weather was great and the course was not crowded. The staff was very friendly. There was sand and water to make for interesting play. The greens are a bit challenging but I think we will get better with practice. Overall a great experience.

Played Monterey Pines for first time on January 7, 2014 with 70 degree weather and no wind. Day was beautiful for a walk on a flat golf course. The staff are friendly, the course is short, but the greens are in great shape. The fairways are also in great shape on the front nine, but on the back nine the fairways are sparse and some around the one lake are full of goose and mud hen bombs, if you know what I mean. Be sure to locate the air hose after your round to get off the bombs from your shoes and push cart wheels.

The course is short but challenging. Sometimes you have to place your tee shot well or find trouble. Good for practicing targets. Greens were very true and fast. I had a hard time adjusting to the pace. Cost me a lot of strokes but some in our group had no problem. Course was in great shape considering all the recent rain. Can't wait to go back and do better.

Fun municipal course to play. Front nine pace of play was excellent. Back nine slowed considerably. Wide course easy for those just learning but the Hazards offered some challenge and slope on greens made it a little more difficult for a better player. .

Given that I played right after it had rained for about a week, there were no carts permitted, thereby requiring walking only.
The course was in good condition given the amount of rain it had received. It drained well,, although as n all courses, there were spots without much drainage.
Overall, I'd play this course again, regardless of the conditions.

Beautiful day, friendly and helpful staff, and good pace of play made this a very pleasant day on the course. Course has been wet from recent rain, so no carts were allowed, but walking was fine. Some areas of the course have suffered a bit from the rain, but overall, the course is in good condition, with healthy grass in the fairways and near rough. This course is always fun, and who can argue with golf on a sunny day in the 60s in December.

Course yardage is shorter than average making it a good course to walk if you so choose. Fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Greens proved to be more challenging than anticipated. Carts have Gps in them which is a great touch for such a nominal green fee.

As novice golfers we enjoyed this course very much and will be going back later this week.

A great little course. This course is a fairly easy course, but it is a great place to go and spend the morning or afternoon and get in some fun golf.
