Copper Canyon Golf Club - Lake/Mountain Course

played this course again,had not been there in years,First the pro staff very nice,starter very nice,Course is great shape and has greens that have interesting breaks in them, good bunkers in good shape, beverage cart not seen but once and the grill lade next to the pro shop not that friendly would have wanted to play the third nine but was closed unknown why

Excellent playable course with a friendly staff and great restaurant. No complaints at all. I highly recommend this outstanding venue.

Made the trip out to Copper Canyon finally, as I had been told it was worth the drive! Definitely did not disappoint! Course was in amazing shape for summer. Greens were a little slow as they were still coming back from overseeding. Still very receptive and rolled true. Good mix of risk reward holes mixed in with some challenging holes. What you see is what you get type course. Good desert style Troon course!

Very pleasant staff and pro shop. Pace of play was under 4 hours. Very pleased with speed of greens and overall conditions.

Top notch Troon course! Unlike other Troon layouts, Copper Canyon has a lot of wide open fairways! Fairways forgiving (you have to WANT to find trouble!), greens slippery and have a lot of subtle breaks within 1-2' of the cup; nice undulations on the greens! Quite a few short holes to help you score or make you lament! Bunkers, eh....but still fair. Greens well protected with bunkerage throughout! Played Vista/Lake; Mountain 9 is still fairly new. Too bad it's an hour + from downtown PHX! Reminds me of Poston Butte! Great course! Yeah; safe to say I'll be back.....:)

We played the mountain course on a very windy day it was awkward trying to get yardage as GPS wouldn’t work and the wasn’t much for markers

From the lunch prior to the round, to the staff, to the condition of the course, this was a very enjoyable day. I will definitely come back here!

The Mountain 9 holes are excellent and well maintained. The Lake 9 holes are well maintained but a bit less attractive.

The starter and marshall were friendly and efficient, but bag drop and cart return were non existing.

we played the Lakes and the Mountain....the Lakes was well established, the course was great and pace was good. Then we turned to the Mountain (new 9) course was still "growing in"...greens were hard as a rock and would not hold. Anything just outside the fairway or aprons was concrete.... We were lucky it was a cooler day....we never saw a beverage cart.

Conditions are great and everyone there was very nice and helpful, the typical Troon experience. The issue I had with the course is that most of the holes invite you to really go after it. There are some fairway bunkers that can be taken out of play with a big drive, but many of the holes have houses not far off the fairway. Any kind of crosswind or double cross can put them in play, so I found myself having to hold back, which kind of ruined the experience.

A very enjoyable round. There was a frost delay, but it didn’t really affect the round. The course was in excellent shape all the way around! Pace of play was good and the layout of the course was very enjoyable. Greens were pretty tricky with few straight putts, but a great challenge.
