The course at Copper Canyon Golf Club is deceptively exclusive in that although the club has prestige and a luxurious atmosphere, there are some reasonably priced tee times. The layout features an interesting mix of holes that offer panoramic views of the White Tank Mountains to the south. The large, undulating greens that are framed by generous fairways are the trademark of the course. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are also sand bunkers situated throughout. This golf course offers four sets of teeboxes. Copper Canyon Golf Club has extensive practice facilities for golfers to use as well, including a full length driving range with several target greens, a large practice putting green, and a short game area with a bunker.

Very Nice Course. Troon Conditioned, Troon Professional.

Course is fun and interesting, having moderate difficulty. Wide fairways with the appropriate hazards. Troubles abound if you don't think. Longer hitters can easily find trouble with errant shots. With careful play, shorter hitters can avoid nearly all problems. Fairways and greens-bunkers were perfectly maintained and well-placed. Greens are large and only moderately difficult. Plenty of water hazards to interest everyone.
A pleasant experience for women golfers. The four tee boxes accommodate all levels of golfers, and they are very well maintained. Tee boxes for women allow the advantage they should have. This makes it quite fun for them as well. Great course for husband and wife outings. Ice-cold drinking water is available on all par 3's. Well-placed to keep you hydrated.
Very nice pro shop, restaurant and lounge.
Highly recommend the course. The only drawbacks are the course is located a fair drive from the city and restrooms are not abundant.
Overall, my wife and I thought it was fun, interesting and a great value in the off-season. Give it a try and enjoy yourselves. We sure did! Thanks Troon!

nice Troon facility...

Shot even par from the tips, not because I'm a scratch golfer but because the greens had just been punched and sanded. Makes a huge difference when u can shoot right at the flags and the ball will bite. Overall it's a fun course ,the fairways are super wide but well hunkered on one side or the other,so working the ball away makes it fun off the tee. Great staff and range area just like atost troon courses. It's worth the drive ,but give it about two weeks for the greens to recover, should be perfect by then.

Nice course, well maintained, GPS would be very helpful

For 1st time course players, this course can be difficult to maneuver w/o GPS; The map on the scorecard is inadequate when trying to determine distances to hazards (Water, sand, dog-legs, etc)

Fairways were very dry

Overall the course is one of my favorites. However, the fairways were very dry as they moved from rye to Bermuda. It was hard to get a good shot on the hard grass.

Good course but more of a community course

This course played more like a community course than a true Troon course. Some of the holes on the back nine seemed like a mile away from the clubhouse. No way you could ever walk the course. Good layout but nothing spectacular. Challenging but not tough.

Fun course

I enjoyed playing Copper Canyon. It was a fun course with some challenging holes and holes requiring to think. The tee boxes were very nice and level. The greens were some of the best I have played all winter. The fairways were in transition, but didn't affect my ability to swing the club. The staff from the cart drop to the end of the round was very friendly. My only complaint was pace of play. We had to wait on each shot. The marshall was attempting to speed up play, but the course had let two fivesomes go early in the day and slow play down. All in all, it was a fun course and I will be back.

Great as always.

Pace of play was 3.5 hrs. Course is in good shape. Shots in the fairway are rolling out forever. Greens are fast and rolling true, holding shots nicely. Customer service is always top notch, from the bag drop to the end of the round, typical Troon customer service.

Simply a GREAT course

We played it on the twi-lite rate, 1:20 tee time. The day we played there was no one in front of our foursome, no one pushing from behind. Windy conditions, but the course was in wonderful shape, greens held shots & rolled true & fast. Some really beautiful holes. Multiple tees gave all of us the chance to play the right tee for our ability. A GREAT DAY OF GOLF.

Overall great course. Tons of bunkers, Beware!

Copper Canton is a scenic course, very challenging with bunkers leading up and surrounding every green. Lush fairways and large entertaining greens.

Fine Course

Except for one fairway and 1 green, the course was in excellent shape. Adjacent desert areas could be cleaner for appearance. Pace of play was excruciating. Copper Canyon is a retirement community course and players need to face reality and play from more forward tees. Drop your partner off at their ball, get to your ball and be ready to hit as soon as it is clear ahead. I play this course often and players act as though they are professionals who have to calculate exact yardages, take 5 practice swings etc. before they hit the ball...and then watch it skitter 60 yards along the ground.

Plush fairways, and some nice scenic holes.

The fairways wre in excellent shape but the greens could use a little more tender loving care but predictable a good shot to green still held nicely. This course has nice wide fairways and some very nice scenic holes. We teed off at 2:10 and were done in good time.

GREAT LAYOUT, WORTH THE DRIVE TO SURPRISE,AZ

Course was in excellent condition. Experienced a one hour frost delay but play moved along at a rapid pace once underway, Pro shop and cart personnel were very friendly and eager to assist. A fair layout but will still punish the errant shot by placing you in desert-side rocks/gravel. Greens putted as true as they looked. Water present but not really in place save a couple of par 3's and a par 5. A "must-play is you are in the area.

Beautiful Course!

I have played this course twice and I liked it so much I am going to play it again today. What stands out is the condition of the course - very green and perfectly manicured. Also, challenging layout and top notch amenities. It is a bit off the beaten path, but worth the trip.
