The course at Copper Canyon Golf Club is deceptively exclusive in that although the club has prestige and a luxurious atmosphere, there are some reasonably priced tee times. The layout features an interesting mix of holes that offer panoramic views of the White Tank Mountains to the south. The large, undulating greens that are framed by generous fairways are the trademark of the course. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are also sand bunkers situated throughout. This golf course offers four sets of teeboxes. Copper Canyon Golf Club has extensive practice facilities for golfers to use as well, including a full length driving range with several target greens, a large practice putting green, and a short game area with a bunker.

Awesome Course

My wife and I really enjoyed playing this course. The fairways are in excellent condition, and the greens were receptive and rolled true. The views are wonderful with the White Tank mountains visible from many holes. We plan to come back and play this course again. It is well worth the drive out.

Fun course and well kept

Played the course for the first time today. Grass was green in both the fairways and rough. Course was in great condition considering it’s right before overseeding time. Green was rolling true but a couple holes had pin locations where the green was a little beat up. Greens were SOFT! Was spinning my wedges a good 3-6 feet back.

Great place to play!

Played at noon today - paired up with a very nice couple who play the course frequently. Staff was friendly, responsive and welcoming.

Pace of play was fantastic. The course was pretty well booked, but played 18 in just over 3 hours with a foursome in front and behind us.

A couple of the greens were a little dry, but all were soft and receptive to my approach shots.

Of course, with all the COVID, some amenities have been cut back, but no doubt, once this pandemic thing is over Copper Canyon will be a great place to play!

Great course and excellent value

Club house, course amenities and practice facility were excellent. The course conditions were superb which was shocking considering how hot it’s been in the valley. Excellent course with three 9 hole courses and recommend everyone tried this course out.

The members (some) are a bit grumpy

Had a great time until the twosome behind us (obviously members due to the custom golf carts) complained to the ranger that our foursome was going too slow..... You’d think they’d have a little more common sense than that. Either way the course was pristine but the locals at copper canyon are jerks.

Sanded Greens

The greens were just recently sanded. This made the putting inconsistant. Half of the greens were wet and the ball would crater and stop. A few were dry and they ball would bounce off. Normally, the greens here are awesome. This must just be some of the maintenence that they have to do to keep the greens in good shape. The rest of the course was in good shape. Some fairways were a bit wet and the ball would stop, but still in good shape. I'd imagine that this course will be back up to their normal standards within a week or so.

Love this course

Fun course, good variety of holes, appropriate for all skill levels. Water in play on 4-5 holes, bunkers in play on virtually every hole, but fairways are wide enough to keep the course from beating you down. One of my favorite courses in Phx. I'd play this course more often if it wasn't in the middle of nowhere...

Hot Summer Day - Great Course

I golfed at 1:33pm on a 116 degree day. First of all .... staff is amazing. During the blistering heat they were all super helpful and friendly. Starters are super nice. Proshop super friendly... food shack super nice...Second of all the course is in great shape. It’s 116... been 110 for the past 5 days.. there are going to be brown spots but at this course it doesn’t effect play. Greens are true to lines and the sand traps.. which there are tons are in super shape. Figuring with the heat and wind.. the traps should be rock hard, however I found myself in 5 of them and they played true and fair. Great course.

3-some killed pace. Need ranger.

We got stuck behind a 3-some that did not know how to play golf and had no golf etiquette. Killed the pace for everybody behind them as we started stacking up. One of our guys quit after a few holes because he could not stand waiting and waiting. We caught them at the teebox and asked them to let us through since they were taking so long. They stared at us like they could not understand why we were asking. They did let us through.

We played the Vista and Lakes courses. They were in great shape. A little thin in a few places, but for summer that is normal. Greens were nice. A little slow, but very good shape. This is a fun course. They just need a ranger to help keep the pace.
