People playing only 9 holes are given priority to tee off on the 10th hole. If you are playing 18 holes you are last in line for tee off on the 10th hole. Sometimes it gets so bad when you're playing 18 holes so you just leave, even when you've paid to play 18 holes.

With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. Grow some grass
I didn’t expect much to begin with but the course conditions were definitely a disappointment. Don’t expect anything other than an opportunity to get in some practice. We were behind a group of 5 which slowed things down a little but that wasn’t really an issue. The employee telling us not to take a mulligan because they need our cart as soon as possible was the odd part. What difference does it make if we are waiting on a group of 5 to finish on every shot? All the tee boxes are practice mats on a concrete slab. Is it that hard to grow grass in Newport Beach?
Golf attire is definitely not mandatory here so feel free to wear jeans , T-shirts, and sweatpants without getting any grief from the staff.

Good pace fairways need help
The greens were good, the pace was great, but someone needs to add grass to the fairways. It’s a great course to work on your short game and therefore I would definitely return.

I played this golf course at July 18, 2021.
But I received reservation charge 28.5$ by email.

Undergoing renovations
(Played back 9 only) Be aware that the course is undergoing renovations so holes 11, 15, and 18 have large sections of dirt. As long as you aren’t short, it won’t be a problem. Greens are in great shape, other than the occasional ball marks left from golfers who don’t repair them.

Staff is awesome, course is solid value
Course is solid value. It’s like playing golf in a park, but the greens are pure for the money you’re paying. Staff and restaurant are awesome and a big part of why I keep going back.
Do better
For Newport you really think this course would be better. Rude and unfriendly staff. All tee shots are off worn and wonky mats with most holes being less than 100 yards. It was tolerable until a terrible experience with the staff. Not coming back.

Good deal for the Money
The course is well used and most tees you hit off a mat. I am a relatively new player and that is fine with me. Decent driving range, nice little snack bar and the bar is now open. Here are my only complaints.
The back 9 needs some work back there. Lots of dirt bare areas with no watering going on.
I would like to see the mats removed in the spring.
No matter, I believe this golf course i still a good deal and will continue to golf here.

Extremely disappointed. There is really no choice but to hit off mats. The cart paths were in disrepair. To go from hole 2 to hole 3 you had to cross over a busy roadway. Please make sure your insurance premiums are paid and up to date..It is a very dangerous crossing.If you want to try this facility use the driving range only. You would be better off at miniature golf.

Enjoyable & Fun
This can be a fun course if pace of play is not so slow and grass start to grow. More dirt than turf. Most tee boxes are artificial turf. Close location to beach to get cool breeze throughout the round makes this course fun to play when weather is hot in inland Orange County.
