Nice little course
Played here with of my golf buddies. It was the first time playing this particular course for all of us. I had mixed feelings about playing here. I was pleasantly surprised.
This is a great course to practice all of your irons on. Hitting off of the mats wasnt even an issue. We will defintely be back. The staff was very courteous us!

Greens are excellent, overall it’s a great little course. Staff is super friendly.
Fun relaxed local course
I liked that everyone seems very chill and most people are locals. Some large groups but they played fairly quickly. It was pouring rain the day I went and it was awesome. The 18th hole is a long stretch of dirt to the hole, good times.
Disappointed
If the course has you use mats on the tee box, why are the best quality mats on the driving range? The starter had groups of 3-5 everywhere. This killed the pace of play. The fairways are chewed up. Also, nothing preventing your ball from going to the bottom of the cup, during these Covid-19 times.

I will never return to this course, thought Newport Beach would be much nicer then what i saw, the courses in LA are much better.

Surprisingly Good Condition
You would think a small muni course by the airport would be pretty rough but I am surprised how great the conditions are, particularly the greens. Even though they were plugged and sanded, they still rolled true and smooth. Great place to play more than a pitch n putt.
Enjoyable to play
If you're looking for a fun and easy course to play. This is the place to bring friends to enjoy.
Worst Course I’ve ever played
They don’t even have grass tee boxes. You hit off plastic mats for each hole like you would a driving range. The cart seat had a soccer ball sized hole that wasn’t even tried to be patched. Most carts had baseball sized holes or larger. Might have a Newport Beach address but it was more like Santa Ana, but worse. Horrid place with horrid golf.

Course in pretty bad shape
There is no fairway :-(
Weeds everywhere which make it very difficult to find your ball unless you make it on the green. Course need major innovation.

discriminate against women
We are three girls and one old lady. We tried to make lady be happy so we go to the course.
The owner were Very bad attitude and because the guys before us played very slow the owner asked us speed up, we said you should asked the Guys before us.(they are totally 5 person)the owner said you were not welcome and the new player were not be allowed played here!
So if you did very well pls don’t be there

Needs Maintenance
I played this course regularly in the early 1990s and finally came back recently. The course is not maintained very well, other than the greens, and it is really disappointing. One of the knocks was that their tee boxes had mats, but in the past the mats were in good condition. They are no longer. Course conditions were really poor with huge bald spots on most fairways and lots of muddy patches. The tee boxes that did not have mats were also not maintained.
I probably won't be back because of the poor conditions, which is a shame, because it is a fun course.

Fun round
It was a fun round on vacation but the course was in bad condition.

Needs work but fun to get out there
Course needs a lot of work in the fairways. Greens are typically decent. They also should really consider replacing the tee box mats.
