Course needs a lot of work
Greens are in good shape, but golfers do not fix ball marks on greens. Repaired three or four marks per green during play. Course now requires holding onto drivers license and credit card if you rent a cart. They claim because of damage to a cart or two. New policy... id theft possibility is increased.... only course that I've played recently with this policy.... they collect phone numbers and I hope have insurance...., but.... bad policy unless they bond their employees. Teens on course lack any guidance.... five some created problems on back nine. I suggest playing elsewhere for a better golf experience... sorry Newport Golf course.... Baker in Fountain is a much better course for the money.
Great course
Once again I have nothing but great things to say about this course. Great shape fast greens and friendly staff. Will play here many more times.
Why book ahead when they just let everyone show up and golf?
We had a tee time of 7:40 Saturday. It’s an executive course so we knew we’d be working on our irons. I’m not a big fan of teeing off on a Matt for each hikes first shot. Front 9 too is about 90 min.
My issue with the course if they way overbooked/ let too many people on. Our back 9 took about 3 hours! They implement a rule where 9 hole groups start on the back sucking the life out of your pace. Very clogged up, we made friends with the 3 groups behind us. Waiting to tee off.
I would compare this to Lake Forrest, basically a training course for your irons. Don’t expect to get done in a timely manner.
The course is nice, I did enjoy the holes and semi variety of the layout.

Extremely dissatisfied
I brought my wife here as a surprise. We have 3 boys under the age of 7, two of which are twins. Anyhow I surprised my wife with a 10:30am tee time today at your golf course only to find out that your facility was out of golf carts, and your tee’s were all under construction having us tee off from cracked, old, beat up, recycled turf. Absolutely ridiculous. The pace of play was slower than a darn dessert tortoise so I’m assuming they are over booking. Today’s surprise to my wife was ruined, we should have stayed home and enjoyed quiet time as we wasted not only valuable time together but money on this course. The website needs upgrading as the best thing about this experience was the pro shop. “Thanks guys for the shoes for my wife she loved them. “!
Great little course
This is a nice mostly par 3 course. While it may be small and little rough around the edges, what with having range mats in the tee boxes, they definitely make up for it with price and using the most out of the limited space to make a fairly challenging course. Along with a decent driving range and well stocked pro shop and snack bar, this place gives every bang for your buck. Highly recommended for beginners, seniors, and people on a budget.
Good Times
Great little track to introduce golf to someone or just get out an walk a quick 9 on this we’ll-located Executive Course. Very friendly staff, easy rates. Easy to get on.
Diverse n fun little course
The layout was great: 2 holes right by the starter, then across the street to 4 holes then back across the street to 3 more then into a tunnel to ten then across a bridge to 11-12 and back across the bridge to 13-18. Nothing near 400 yards. Mostly par 3’s a few short part 4’s and a couple of longer par 4’s, if you play from the blues. A little over 3 hours for 18. Nice friendly staff and clientele. A twosome waved me into their group-nice guys: Scott and Jeff.
I DID NOT PLAY TH COURSE...I CANCELLED WITH AN INDIVIDUAL AT THE GOLF NOW COMPANY4 DAYS BEFORE MY TEE TIME...GOLF NOW WTILL CHARGED ME BECAUSE IT WAS A "HOT TEE TIME" I NEVER SAW ANY PRINT SAYING THAT DISCLOSURE... IT MUST HAVE BEEN VERY SMALL PRINT....I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH GOLF NOW AGAIN....HIRE MOR PEOPLE SO A DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMER CAN TALK TO YOU..... NOT A CHAT SESSION
Hi, we are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced at the course. Our goal is to keep the pace of play running smoothly and to never have it too backed up. As far as the raincheck goes, sounds like you prepaid for a Hot Deal on GolfNow. When this is the case, no money is paid to the pro-shop so there is no money that is owed back from the course. You may have booked other course times through GolfNow and that is why you were able to obtain a raincheck. If you call GolfNow, they would be happy to rectify the situation. We hope this clears any confusion up and we hope you give us another try in the future.
OC Value
Best course for your money. Morning rounds are quick. Afternoon can backup depending on the day. Greens are in excellent condition, fairways could use a little more TLC. Love the layout for short game practice.

Needs Work!
A little Weed Killer and Fertilizer would go a long way to help this course. The tees are mats surprised! . Needs a coat of paint in places and good cleaning! PA

Glad to be back on the links
Great day on the links at Newport Beach Golf Course. The staff was awesome, and the owner greeted us with a warning that things were a bit slow with pace of play, due to everyone just being grateful to be out swinging the club again during the Covid-19 pandemic. Had a great time nonetheless, regardless of the pace of play, and enjoyed being at this facility. Greens were spectacular, and while this is not Augusta National, the entire track was enjoyable. Will definitely be back again!
I was wondering why I put a deposit but then got charged more than $28 dollars
I put a $15 dollar deposit for 4 People for our Tee time at 7:40am on may1 2 of the four canceled so it was 2 that played I want to know why if I put a $15 dollar deposit I still got charged full price for the round of golf.
