Decent for the price
There’s no Marshall and no starter. So it’s pretty much free for all and the people do their own thing and make their own groups slowing down pace of play. Pretty sure a group of 4 walked on the course behind us without paying at hole 3. So nobody’s really paying attention. Which makes for slow pace of play even though it’s a short course.
Also bummer is you have to hit off mats instead of tee boxes when they are letting the tee box grass grow back, that’s a bit annoying.
Overall I would come back, but not in a hurry. Good price and if there weren’t people piled up ahead of us it’s probably a 2.5hr pace of play for a high handicapper like me.
Snack bar at the turn is legit. Good breakfast burrito and drinks.
This course is a dog patch. I had heard it had been improved. What a waste of money. Weeds everywhere; dirt instead of grass in many areas. Will not return.

Fun course
This a fun course. The course itself needs some work. But overall it is well worth the money.
Beginner practice course
Great for a beginner. Greens and skirt are in good shape but grass condition beyond that is spotty. We were coming from arizona in summer and are beginners so it was just nice to have some trees and nice weather to play. Planes from John Wayne airport roar overhead but not constantly going over. The price was very reasonable so overall it was fun to play for beginners.

Nightmare
The only compliment I can give this course is that the greens were in good condition. They schedule the tee time way too close together and then they let people go off the back randomly. We were watching a 4some take 45 minutes per hole(!) after cutting in front of the group in front of us on the tenth tee. We left the course after 4 hours passed w 3 holes left. The Marshalls were driving around and not encouraging any increase in pace. I saw 3 different groups leave early and it was still taking far too long. This course should cost 15$ max. If you are going to take people’s money to play golf, you should honor your end and provide something that is in the very least, reasonable. I will never play here again and I will actively discourage others from doing so. Waste of a day.

Don’t even try it
Avoid this golf course no golf edicate at all. Crammed as many players to the golf course as possible!!! You will be waiting on 3 groups to tee off on every hole terrible

Golf Now Sucks
The golf course was great. We had a really nice round. I booked the tee time through Golfnow, but usually when I show up, I only play nine holes. To my dismay when I got there, they told me I had already paid for 18 holes even though it was not a hot deal and didn’t ask me to pay in advance. Golf now is a horrible service and has been brutal the last five times I’ve used it. I will never use this service again. Newport Beach golf course is great.

Bunch of liers and dirt bags
I was treated very badly there. The owners are very disrespectful and the staff lies and are very rude!! They kicked me out of the course for waiting for a friend . I will never go there again and I recommend no one plays there without consequence . Ty
