Pacific Grove Golf Links

PG is a great play for my wife and I together. She is still in the beginning stages of golf but is far enough along to be able to play and enjoy this gem of a course. While I’ve been playing years, it still offers challenges for shot making playing in wind at times, moving ball left to right along with some risk and reward holes. We always play here when in town, 4-5 times a year. Love it!

The course could have been better maintained. The greens were very plush but didn't seem to have been mowed the day I played, They were very bumpy from bare spots on most every green. The lack of cart paths was a bit unprofessional. Many of the fairways were bare of grass and made like hitting from the rough in some cases. The pro shop did not have anything to drink, the grill and concession stand were closed, no cart service and therefore, no was to even get a drink of water for the entire round. No yardage markers. Beautiful scenery on the back 9 but that shouldn't be the only thing to offer for the price. You can do better. This will not get you much return business. I can play several courses much closer to home, in much better condition, better service, and for the same price. May sound a bit harsh but I did enjoy the course, it could just use some TLC and either keep the concession stand open or have a cart running around to allow players to at least get something to drink. 4 hours with no water is bad.

Love this place and love the fact green fees darn near same when I played as I kid in the 90’s. One of the best tracks in the world for the price !

The list of things that went wrong are to long and not worth going full karen on. The summary, front 9 have horrible conditions, back 9 will be the most beautiful holes you ve played, but the course management is non existent. I quit at hole 13 after 4 hours. It was the worst golf experience I ve had which is really disappointing because that back nine is like no other.

I’ve always heard about the “poor man’s Pebble Beach” , so I wanted to check it out and compare it to Pebble (which I played last July).

$60.00 was a fair price for the experience. The layout was simple, greens were slow , bumpy, and play was slow, but the back 9 with the ocean views was worth the other negatives.

Give it a go if you have the time.

Probably my favorite course on this planet we call earth !!! Has incredible views with challenging pin placement, along with a lot smiles from the crew. Would recommend to any and all golfers out there. Play ball !!!

We’ve played this course many times, and were very disappointed with the course conditions. The front 9 fairways were thin (terrible). The back nine fairways were better. Pace of play was good.

Greet by the staff and they answered all our questions since it was our first time. The course was in great condition. Pace of play was consistent and if it did slow up, what better place to enjoy the views and cool weather!!!! We will definitely play again.

This was our first time playing PG Golf Links and we will definitely be back. Friendly staff, beautiful course with scenic ocean views.
