Originally designed by Chandler Egan in 1932, the first nince holes takes you through the forested areas of Pacific Grove. Egan's nine takes you through an inland terrain and reflects much of the charm of an English rural course done in the old style.

The back nine was designed by Jack Neville, the original designer of the Pebble Beach Links. It opened in 1960, and is laid out in true links design over dunesland that approaches the sea.

Over looking the course is the Point Pinos Lighthouse. Built in 1855, it is the longest continuously operating lighthouse in California. It is a historical sentinel and picturesque landmark of the golf course.

A scenic tour of the dramatic coastline provides views of Lover's Point, Point Pinos, Crespi Pond and the natural dunesland at Asilomar. You will be enchanted by the abundance of natural wonders such as the plentiful Pacific Blacktail Deer, seals, sea lions, sea otters, pelicans and gulls.

A friend and I had the chance to play with a guy from Chicago ( Kevin) and (Walt ) from Vacaville . We will definitely be back to play here and bring the other guys from our regular foursome.

The day was windy, but the views are incredible. They call this the poor and Pebble Beach, this poor guy and friends will be back.

Sanded Greens

Second time I've played in the last year, BUT this time the greens were punched and sanded and we were not informed. Putting was nonexistent, had so much sand you had to really hit the ball hard to make it go anywhere.

Pacific Grove

Rode the Blues (5727/67.9/113) in slightly more than 4H in drizzling, very overcast conditions around 60. $50 playing with the SLO Co. Golf Group. Chris, Jeff and Manny were a good group to play with.

Short, tight, quirky tree lined layout on the coast. Fun course to play but was so overcast we missed many of the ocean views. Several holes we only had a general idea of where the hole went it was so gray and hazy. Could not see the green from the tee on several straight away par 4's.

Tees had decent coverage but needed some divot attention.

Fairways and rough both winter thin. Very playable with decent coverage.

Traps were not good, but the rain did not assist. Both I was in could have used more sand.

Small poa greens were excellent. Medium fast and they held approach shots well.

Friendly, quick efficient check-in. Would recommend the double, cheeseburger and Arnold Palmer. Carts were nice but did not have GPS. Layout is not a pushover because of the tightness, the huge trees and the size of the greens. If I lived in the area, this course would warrant a regular play. Recommended.
