Hansen Dam Golf Course

We booked the 12:24 tee time online and arrived shortly after 12 o'clock. The starter was super friendly and seemed like she knew what she was doing. I can't say for certain when we tee'd off but I would guess it was closer to 12:46 and I know we made the turn at 3:45. Needless to say we really only made it through 15 holes before lack of daylight robbed us of what was some really nice (but painfully slow) golf.

Actual tee off was 30 mins after tee time. Lots of people insisting on push carts which I don't mind if they hit well... but they don't.
Fairways are wide open and easy to get on track if miss-hit. Greens are surprisingly well maintained.

Recommend course.

Over a 5.5 hour round and did not see a Marshall the whole time I was out there. Teed off at 12 and had to wait every hole from the beginning of the round until the end. I'm sure if a Marshall was out there, it would have been a lot better round and faster!

tee'd off around 0700, course was pretty empty so it was less than a 4 hour round. course is in good shape.
it's been 3 years since I've played there and had a great time once again.
it's a fun wide open course.

had 2 doubles and a triple and still shot 83 although I played from the blue tees.

First off,
Hansen Dam golf course is not going to impress you with spectacular views or immaculate conditions. But what this golf course offers is a straight forward golf course with no blind shots and wide fairways for the driver challenged players.
Its not a hard golf course for a good player but it is fun and the greens are good. As with all the LA city golf courses, over-watering is a problem and the sides of the fairways is evident of the problem. I thought we are in a drought? While the golf is fun, just avoid the 19th hole. The food there is subpar but the beer is cold and at $11 a pitcher its not a bad deal.

Short Par 4 No 2, backed up by 3 groups.
Took 6 hours to finish 18 holes.

The course is in decent shape and fairly fun to play with exception of some short/funky holes. My criticism lies in poor tee-time and starter management. They basically stack people up and you will wait all day long. It was 5 and a half hours...

Price was good for the three of us. We didn't know the fairways on the back 9 had been aerated so that made things interesting for us.

Paired up with 3 other singles, round was at 4 hours, greens were a bit inconsistent back fairways just aerated, good place to practice.

despite the volume of play the course endures, the greens are in very good shape. its important to pay attention to your proximity to the dam, as the ball has a tendency to slope away, and can be very deceptive to the eye. very friendly staff

The staff at Hansen Dam is very friendly. And the golf course is in excellent condition.

Great round. The greens were a tad bumpy due to the recent aeration a week before. But that was not a huge factor in your play. Pace was great, right at 4 hrs. Probably could've been quicker but I was playing with two fairly elderly gentlemen. If you want a nice, relaxing round, play here on a Monday mid morning. Great day.

Good day of golf, shot a 78, and greens rolled really nice, some of the tee boxes were messed up and I did not have to hit out of a bunker all day but they looked fluffy and groomed. I was paired up with 3 guys all friends and they were average players but very friendly and even bought me a beer. Thanks guys, had a great time. Hansen Dam is a nice wide layout and if you have not played here you should do so. course is well maintained and the bar area is cool and food is awesome..

Excellent county course - will play again - worth the drive -excellent condition

Played eighteen holes Apr18, 2013. Off as a solo around 645am and enjoyed a quick round. Greens had been aerated a couple days prior so that was a bummer.
Enjoyed the course overall. Decent shape and a lot of room out there. Wasn't sold on the first 2 holes but the remainder were fine. Lots of driver holes mixed in with a couple long irons and decent length par 3s. Friendly staff. Great outing at a Muni for very good price. I will go again
