Located in the heart of the Palm Desert in the Coachella Valley, Woodhaven Country Club offers panoramic views that stretch across the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa Mountains. The golf course has a traditional desert landscape but the stunning mountain views elevate it to a truly unique experience. The course has a classic design that is player friendly enough for beginners and even gentle enough juniors. It may not be what you're looking for if you want a formidable test, but more advanced players will appreciate it for a quick casual round. It's also great for working on your short game skills. The golf course is short and tight with immaculately manicured greens. You won't find much water at Woodhaven Country Club except on the 17th, which seems like its nearly all water.

Course is in excellent condition however it took us close to 5 hours to complete as we had to wait on every hole as the course was overbooked !
Nice enough course but some cons
Nice, wide fairways and the staff were very nice (but the fellow in the pro shop was rather “matter of fact.” ). The driving range was extremely busy! (and not many stalls). We weren’t given directions on where the 1sr tee was, and had to ask another golfer. The 1st tee was a looooong way from the clubhouse, and NOT well-signed! Many of the holes are NOT well-marked (faded paint on a rock at the tee), and the various tees had only a very small color on the side of a small rock. The grass around all tee boxes was very long and not well-groomed. Tee boxes were in good condition, as were the greens (but VERY slow greens! Very damp and quite sandy). Cart paths were extremely confusing and no directions to next holes. Overall a nice course, but very confusing if you are playing it for the first time.. It was reasonably priced (compared to $150-$200 at other courses), but it was also apparent why. Carts were in excellent condition and nice to ride too. Pace of play was also on the slow side - took us 4 hrs and 35 min to play.

Woodhaven
Play was slow. At approximately noon the jam the tee off times every 7 minutes. The caliber of golfer is not always the best which really slows down play. Over 4 1/2 hours.
Not Ready For Prime time
The course was under heavy maintenance. Noisy trucks and equipment everywhere. Noisiest round of golf ever. Greens sandy, rough not cut and way too high for an average golfer.
I walked off after 12 holes.

Very enjoyable
This course looks deceptively easy-take a second look. Narrow fairways, slightly sloped greens, manageable water hazards, a very pleasant challenge. Best looking course so far during this trip. The greens were great - just verticut, not rolled but still smooth and firm. Staff was helpful and friendly. I will play it again.
Woodhaven
My wife and I enjoy playing Woodhaven every time we come to the desert it is a good value and people are very friendly. The only thought is they are always running behind on their tee times half-hour too 45 minutes then pace of play is slow. But we like Woodhaven.
Nice course in great shape
Excellent course and range. They were backed up a bit and we tee’d off 45 minutes late. But pace was ok when we got out. Greens and fairways are in great shape. Stay out of the rough. It’s thick.
Slow
They had a tournament in the morning which delayed the rest of the teetimes up to 45 minutes. Because of the delay we were not able to finish 18 holes and can only finish 15.
