Where's the grass
In the Spring, you wouldn't expect dirt patches in so many fairways. The grass was THIN and bare on so many holes. Not a pleasant round.
Last day of February
Had a great Sunday at diamond oaks ..perfect way to end February with temps in the 70’s ...Looking forward to my next round

Average experience
The main thing that was bothersome during our round yesterday is that it was so backed up. At almost every hole we had to wait 10-15 min to tee off. The fairway was a lot of dirt, not much grass to hit from. Staff was nice and the layout was great, just a little disappointed in the price for our experience.
Poor Maintenance
Its winter time of course... I didn't expect the course to be in great shape. The greens were pretty good, but the Tee Boxes were not mowed and the different grasses in the fairways made for poor lies. Some standing water from some recent rain. Wait till late spring or early summer, and it should improve.
Muddy course
The fairways were about 50% mud. We had to play lift clean and place. Every shot resulted in a mud ball.
Need to try again in the summer
This course does not drain well. To be fair, it had just rained the night before I played but there was standing water everywhere and mud up close to the greens. The greens were not well maintained. Some of them were fast and some of them were really slow. Lots of holes and bumps in them as well. As the title of my review states, I really need to try this place again in the summer to get a better feel of what its usually like.
Been a while
Haven't played here in a bit and the price was right to walk so why not? As with other reviews the fairway grass is dormant and brown resulting in some tight muddy lies but lift and place and you are ok. The layout has some bind shots and requires accurate placement off of the tee. Greens in good shape with breaking subtleties. The main issue is over-crowding here with golf being a pandemic luxury. Waiting on every tee; some folks hitting two balls because they could not hit their first one well. Left after 7 holes since there were two groups in front of us on hole 8. Good track in the summer most likely and good folks in the pro shop, just too busy for me.
No Carts
Pace of play was terrible, they ran out of cards so everybody had to walk, the staff was extremely unfriendly.
It is what it is.
Fun little track but they pack WAY too many people on the course. But it’s a muni and they need the $$ so it is what it is. Played 7 holes in 2 hrs. 20 mins and called it a day. Greens were fine, fairways are in rough shape right now.
Dying grass
This course usually keeps its fairways nice and green.
Advanced paying only
I hate paying ahead using a 3rd party online company. I used to go to Diamond Oaks frequently but now I avoid it whenever possible
